Documentary wedding photography for couples who don’t like posing? This is for you.

The magic is never in the pose.
It’s in the split second before it.

The part people don’t always see.
The movement, the nerves, the hands reaching for each other, the laughter that wasn’t planned, the dress being thrown on properly for the first time. The messy little in-between moments that make the whole day feel alive.

And then the final frame.
Still real. Still honest. Just seen properly.

Nothing here is heavily staged or overly directed. I’m not pulling you out of your wedding every five minutes or forcing moments that don’t feel like you. I watch, I wait, and I step in when it actually feels right.

Because the moment always comes first.
The photo is just the proof it happened.

That balance between documentary and art is everything to me. Photos that still look beautiful, but feel like you when you look back at them years later.

This is how weddings are done now. Portraits that matter without stealing time away from the day with lots of chunks of time dedicated to creative slots, this is where performed v natural and authenticity comes in.
And this was exactly that, think Lace and candlelight, but with a bit of wild underneath.

Not everything has to be perfectly placed or overly styled, sometimes it’s better when it feels like you could throw on a hat, pour another drink, and stay at the table all night. Modern weddings should feel like you, not a checklist. This is what that looks like.

Wedding season is hitting full swing now for me and it’s also seemingly peak booking season too! I am obsessed with the amount of couples still looking to book 2026 weddings, you are legends!

We are almost in May and it’s set to be my busiest month of the year, so today and the rest of the week is spent prepping content so I can keep my socials fresh whilst I dive into all the celebratory stunningness and navigate a sea of 35mm reels and endless SD XQD cards, and more SSDs then you logically need. IYKYK.

I’m seeing more and more couples are opting for exactly this right now, and I am here for it!

This is exactly why documentary photography matters. It’s not about manufactured poses or dragging you away from the fun for half the day. It’s about being there when the real stuff happens. The spin in the rain. The laugh you didn’t see coming. The way everyone squeezes under the canopy when the weather turns. The chaos, the joy, the energy of it all.

And when it feels right, I’ll guide where needed. A little movement, a little shape, a touch of romance. Nothing forced. Nothing awkward. Just photos that still feel like you.
