Summary: We need donations and volunteer help for Donkey Derby.

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are now less than 2 weeks away from the Donkey Derby so we're on the last push to get the support and items we need to pull off the biggest (and hopefully best) Donkey Derby yet. Saturday 17th May seems very close, so, what do we need to make this a success?

Donations:
Similar to our other fayres, we want donations of bottles (filled with various drinks or liquids), sweets (any kind), teddies and soft toys (clean please) for our tombola's. Plus, we take donations of used items for the White Elephant stall (any bric-a-brac will do) and of crockery for the crockery smash (it will be destroyed, you have been warned). We are taking donations of bottles and sweets now - please bring them to the Scout hall for your next meeting - and donations of teddies, white elephant and crockery accepted the week of the event.

Help on the day:
We need lots of people to help with our stalls and games on the day, plus helpers to set up the event site on the morning of the 17th and the whole of Friday 16th, and to help us pack down on Saturday evening. If you can help, please let us know using this form: https://forms.gle/cmNUZDPhiwXCCt64A

Programme selling next weekend:
We've got two final days of programme selling next weekend on the 10th and 11th. The more programmes we sell, the more people can skip the queue and the more we raise nice and early. What an amazing afternoon the Friends of Nursling Primary School Association organised. The circus was fantastic, there was lots of happy faces and hopefully they made a lot of money for their wonderful school. Thank you for such a memorable occasion.

We had a very special delivery over the weekend - our first visiting locomotive has officially arrived at the Watercress Line for our Spring Steam Gala! Please welcome the magnificent L&YR A Class 52322, a true railway gem, thanks to Andy Booth and our wonderful friends at the East Lancashire Railway.

At an incredible 130 years old, this stunning engine will be making its Watercress Line debut at our Spring Steam Gala, running from 25th to 27th April.

Just a few pics from the Easter Egg Extravaganza at the The Watercress Line . What a fantastic event... well organised, happy children, lots to do and above all awesome trains. Looking forward to next year's event. If you like steam trains there is a great event happening on 25th to 27th April.
