β οΈ IMPORTANT NOTICE: Weather Cancellations & Our Zero-Tolerance Policy β οΈ
We want to address a difficult but vital topic regarding bouncy castle hires during bad weather, and our stance on abusive customers that we've had to endure this weekend.
We completely understand that having to cancel or reschedule a party because of the weather is incredibly frustrating. Itβs upsetting for the kids, and stressful for the parents. However, safety is, and always will be, our number one priority.
Here is our firm policy regarding wind and weather:
* The 24mph Rule: By law and health & safety regulations, inflatable equipment cannot be safely operated in wind speeds (including gusts) exceeding 24mph. If the forecast predicts winds over this limit, we will not set up. (We will only use the Met Office forecast as this is the only one officially recognised by the HSE)
* "But other companies will do it..." We hear this often. If another company is willing to set up a bouncy castle in dangerous winds, that is their choice to break the law and risk children's lives. We will not take that risk. We value the safety of your children far more than making a quick profit.
π‘ The Weather-Proof Solution: Hire a Hall
If having a bouncy castle is an absolute must-have for your party and you cannot stomach the risk of a weather cancellation, then please book an indoor venue in the first place. Hiring a local hall or community center is the only way to 100% guarantee that the bouncy castle can go up, regardless of what the wind and rain are doing outside.
π Zero Tolerance for Abuse
Because of our strict adherence to safety, we sometimes have to make the tough call to cancel an outdoor booking.
We will not tolerate any abuse, shouting, or aggressive behavior toward us over the phone. We are simply doing our job: keeping your family safe and following the law. If a customer becomes abusive over a weather-related cancellation, the call will be ended immediately, and we will decline any future bookings from that individual.
We are incredibly grateful to the vast majority of our amazing customers who understand why we have these rules in place and we are always polite and respectful, even when the weather lets us down!
