*Warning - HUGELY long post alert* 🤪

Firstly..... WOW what a year & what an aweeeeesome day celebrating our 5th anniversary of MCM 💗

In all truthfulness, our 2024 event was incredibly hard for us and for our partners. We all received a number of rather unpleasant incidents & abusive stallholders that really made us question whether or not to ever run this event again. We agonisied over the decision for most of the year infact.

But...... we cautiously carried on. We altered a few things and we think it's safe to say, 2025 helped to remind us of WHY we do this event.

It wasn't perfect, there were some bits we would tweak & we faced some verrrry stressful disappointments, but on the whole, we think it's safe to say that it was a truly festive day filled with community spirit & Christmas joy.

We absolutely love to see familiar faces return each year on the stalls (& the lovely big hugs) - to share in their joy as they sell things they've poured their hearts, talents & time into. We love to see happy shoppers buying things from local businesses, the excitement of being able to afford & enjoy such a variety of beautiful things right here in the village 🥰

That is why we pour soooo much of ourselves into this event. We spend more time than you can imagine being precise on where each of our 60+ stalls go, what mix of products we put together & getting to know as much as we can about each business so we can do that. We try to fit everyone so noone is left out, we welcome all styles of products & cater for all budgets from pennies to hundreds! It may not always guarantee big sales for everyone but we are truly inclusive & that will always be the case. We truly believe it is what makes us so much more than a typical market & we are really proud of that 💗

❤️💚 First & foremost our thanks always goes to our families. We love you all more than words could ever possibly describe & we are eternally grateful for your support and patience over the months leading up to this aswell as on the weekend itself. We may go abit cuckoo but your support is everything. We love you 💗

(Also massive hugs to Fran’s son Thomas - his birthday was yesterday and got totally lost in the market chaos. That’s two years in a row he’s moved his birthday without grumbling. What an absolute legend!)

💚❤️ To our marquee HERO'S...... you guys literally saved the event! With us both being total short-asses, this part we can't do without an army of helpers. We simply can't reach!!! 🤪 It's a bloody hard job loading, unloading & putting up 6 enormous marquees, so we're eternally grateful to you all & thank you sooooo much for showing up & being there when we needed it 💗

Put uppers were: Ross, Jake, Aiden, Conner, Mum (Mandy!), Terry, Gill, Rachel, Dale, Andy, Harry, Carlie & Ellie.

Bringer downers were: Ross, Lliam, Zenia, Steve, Mark & Charlotte.

The awful task of heavy loading/delivery driving of all marquees/unloading was; Mum (Mandy!) & Jake plus Mark & Charlotte

Little helpers & "supervising" were; Alice, Maggie & Eli!

❤️💚 Enormous thanks to Laurence Mayhew for providing the vintage bus shuttle throughout the day which did loops for houurrrrsssss so everyone could travel for free. It was a wonderful addition to the day, great festive decorations & a warm friendly welcome so thank you to him! Please do show him support at his next event & if you're able to, consider making a donation to keep the vintage bus events running. Rame Beer & Buses will be back in 2026 so note the date!

💚❤️ To our fabulous entertainment this year too...... Millbrook Town Crier for opening the event in style. Singsanders Choir, Torpoint Silver Band, Alex Cairns, Torpoint Ukulele Band & Johnny Stewart for bringing such fantasticly festive music to both venues. It created an absolutely great atmosphere & exactly what we wanted!!

❤️💚 Finally to our stallholders for joining us (& for multiplying every year!!) Thanks for choosing us & our event to sell your beautiful goodies. We hope you'll join us again & yes there is already a 20+ strong waitlist for 2026 😳🥰

One week to gooooooooooo!!!!! 🥰🎅🎁

Don't forget we have a vintage bus shuttle service running across Millbrook, Kingsand, Cawsand & Cremyll throughout the day so you can shop & drop.... then shop some more! Or pop over from the darkside (AKA: Plymouth!) on the Cremyll ferry & experience a fun, truly Cornish Christmas Market with all local stallholders!

We also have live music throughout the day and even a jewellery making workshop provided by one of our lovely stallholders at the Edgcumbe Arms too!

Best of all; we don't do tickets - we are a FREE entry market!! We do this purely for the love of our locals & to support everyone's small businesses so come join us! 🥰

So not only do we have over 60 stalls filled with Christmassy goodness all by lovely makers from our local area (𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘵!!)

BUT.........

We have also teamed up with Laurence and the fantastic crew behind the annual Rame Beer Buses event. We will be running a 𝘃𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 around the Rame Peninsula this year too!!!!! 🥳🚌

You can therefore hop on at any of the stops marked on our route, shop at BOTH our popup events and show your support to ALL our local shops, cafes, deli and pubs that are here in our gorgeous villages at the same time 💗

We have live music throughout the day at our markets and there are a variety of places to stop for food & drinks across the Peninsula so you can literally hop on & off all day (𝘱𝘭𝘶𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘤𝘬 𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘳𝘰𝘱 𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘢𝘨𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯!!)

In our 5th year, we are the OG Christmas Market here on the Rame Peninsula. We strive to make our market the most "down to earth" with no hand selected stalls or cherry picked items - we welcome everyone that wants to join us, we offer something for everyone & we support all of the local makers & charities in our beautiful community - giving everyone the opportunity to sell their makes & generate income for their businesses at Christmas 💗

We have 2 stalls left available at our beautiful venue; Edgcumbe Arms in Cremyll.

Our popup event here will be in the gorgeous function room overlooking the water with a huge bay window to watch the world go by & a high beamed ceiling. It is beautiful!

This traditional inn is opposite The Cremyll Ferry on the Mount Edgcumbe Country Park. It is the perfect pitstop for doing some festive shopping along with a mulled wine next to the roaring log fire after a wintery walk. Lovely 💗🥰

There will also be some incredible live music onsite to help with the festive vibes!

This year we are welcoming the team from Millbrook Christmas Market and we are hosting a mini popup festive market here at The Edgcumbe Arms.

There will be a variety of local businesses selling Christmas gifts in our beautiful waterside view function room. If you would like to have a stall then bookings are NOW OPEN!!

Come and enjoy our Carvery with a pint by the fireplace, some great music, beautiful views & do a spot of festive shopping at the same time!
