🛠️ Drumtochty Dig Day! 🛠️

Another productive day on the trails with Aberdeenshire Trail Association 💪🌲

🍬 Team Jelly Baby — Neil and the crew tackled Stickeback and Keep Your Trout in Your Pants.

🍰 Team Cake — Toby and the crew took on ‘The Biscuit Plan’, working on both Cunning Plan and Biscuit Barrel.

Spikes, drainage, ruts and vegetation were the order of the day! 🪚🌿

A massive thanks to Toby and Neil for stepping in at short notice for Patrick. 🙏 Sending plenty of healing vibes his way following his MTB injury in France. 🇫🇷🚵‍♂️

And a big thanks to Forestry and Land Scotland for allowing our route variation. It’s also been great to work under a Trail Stewardship Agreement and maintaining the trails we will be racing.

We are back in the tools for a dig at Drumtochty this weekend! We will be joined by the crew from Doon Tha Brae Events as we get ready for their upcoming race and some great autumn riding.

Great to see enduro back at this venue and to be collaborating with local riders, the race team and local business to ensure it’s in the best shape both for the race and the future.

If you’re a racer or not, you can share the vibe and be involved. A trail prepped for racing is a quality trail for all to enjoy.

The ATA continues to work with land managers to select appropriate trails, and the event organisors to properly prep and repair.

All our work during summer months is conducted after land manager approval considering ecological constraints.

We've just updated our YouTube channel to show the newly revised stage 6, this being Cunning plan into Biscuit Barrel. We had to do this due to Mattock currently being worked on however we're really excited for the alternative. Get practicing these two lines and I'm sure you'll agree they are an awesome addition to the course.

Stage 6 CHANGE OF PLAN - 'The Biscuit Plan'

Following forestry work that has rendered Mattock unusable for the race we have agreed a course variation with Forestry and Land Scotland and in agreement with Aberdeenshire Trail Association. Thank you!

Stage 6 will now be Cunning Plan into Biscuit Barrel. We will be working on this trail with ATA under the trail stewardship agreement with FLS this Sunday (30th August). Since local trail lead Patrick is injured a big thanks to Toby and Neil for stepping in. Sign up to come along and help via ATA website.

As the site around Mattock is still an active site please obey all gates and signage. If the gates are shut mid week you'll need to head back to the top of Strathfinella Hill to get to 'The Biscuit Plan'
