As I’m sitting on a train to the airport to spend the Christmas with my Finnish family and friends I’m reflecting on the twists and turns of the year 2025 has been especially professionally. This year I came the closest I have in the past decade of running Peony Blue to walking away and shutting things down (it’s been a hard couple years with loss of my dad that lead to closing the shop and I have had a lot of regrets with making that decision and I’ve missed daily work with flowers and clients and being part of all the little celebrations of life. It was very special to me). But now I’m eager to get started with the next chapter combining my love of floristry and pottery at my new studio space at The Carpernter’s Yard, Gosport after I get the keys on the 5th of January. And who knows maybe retail flowers and local deliveries will be back on the menu once I figure out how to combine the heat from the kiln and cool environment flowers need… but on thing is for sure… NEW YEAR is full of opportunities and I hope I’ll get to work again with some of you that have been following the journey. 🤍 Hope you all have a lovely Christmas and see you again in 2026
