A look back at the most beautiful wedding, with a lovely couple at the most perfect woodland venue

This was my first Woodland wedding and I thank and for choosing me to be their florist. The couple said it was a dream come true for them, and it was certainly a dream come true for me too. ❤️

I constructed the tree arch with the help of and my hubby. We had to erect wire to suspend across the trees to hold the drape and central flowers . This wasn't without its challenges but between us, we made it work.

Flowers for the arch and bouquet from and the rest of the flowers were grown by the couple themselves ❤️

And in a blink of an eye..... the season is over, the fresh flowers are on their final days/weeks and the once flower filled plot is now looking tired and sad...

I have enough flowers to fulfil my preorders and subscriptions but other than that, I am closing the doors for bouquets until April 2026

But being a flower farmer, my work is far from over. My annuals have gone to seed and the beds need closing down.

My attention now turns to sorting my dried flowers, planting out biennials and making room for the Tulips whilst keeping a close eye on my seed babies that were sown in September and October.

All beds need to be weeded and plants cut to the ground before mulching and covering for the winter.

Over the next few weeks the Dahlias will be lifted ,dried and stored away.

And then, full on prep for my Christmas Wreath Workshops will begin alongside my commission for a Christmas porch surround.

I thank each and every one of you that have ordered from me, and supported me over this season. I am hoping that 2026 will be just as amazing as this year has been.

Its exhausting, and not without it's challenges, but I love what I do, and I love that I bring a little happiness to people's lives.

For my customers next year... I am busy sowing and pre-sprouting Ranunculus to bloom from Spring through to early summer 2026.

This year was my first successful year of growing these beauties, and I fell in love with them so I have added to my collection with beautiful butterfly Ranunculus from * see last picture.

Above is my step by step process of how I start these strange looking corms off to pre-sprout

I have covered them with newspaper and they will now be kept cool and dark for around 10 days. I will then check for growth and pot up into individual cells to grow on.

Better late than never...

and myself had the pleasure of meeting so many talented and inspiring small businesses last week . This was only my second wedding fayre and Phillippa's first and we absolutely loved it and the buzz and atmosphere around the venue.
Despite the cold there was a lot of warmth and friendly smiles from many of the other vendors. We are looking forward to meeting you all again next year.

The workshop experience is £55, and lasts around 2.5hours , you will receive full tuition and guidance on how to make your very own handcrafted wreath on a reusable willowbase.
I supply everything you need, you just need to turn up with an open mind.
Refreshments will also be available.

The beauty that can happen when you choose collaboration over competition ✨️.

Myself and are both flower farmer florists within 20 minutes of each other.
We both grow sustainably, with the seasons and without chemicals, but instead of finding issues with this, we forged a friendship and decided to join forces to make us both stronger ❤️ .

Yesterday saw our first joint wedding fayre. It was such an amazing day, with so much positive feedback and interest from couples and fellow suppliers

Philippa and I offer locally grown flowers and floristry independently of each other * please check out our pages, but we can also offer flowers and floristry for larger weddings and events collaboratively ✨️

Its that time of year again when I feel a reintroduction is needed.

I wanted to say hello and welcome to my new followers, as well as saying a huge thank you to those of you who have been here a while and who are sticking with me on the journey.

For those of you who do not know, name is Cindy , and the name Amber Cottage Flowers comes from the name of my cottage

I am a mumma to 2 amazing and talented adults
and and I am beyond grateful to have them so close with my beautiful grandchildren and son/daughterin law,

My long suffering partner in crime is my hubby, Alan, without whom, Amber Cottage Flowers wouldn't be...

I had put my very first seed to soil in 2020, and very quickly become hooked with the wonder and magic of growing flowers. ✨️

I grow on both, a small piece of land that my neighbour has given me access to as well as my garden plot.

Amber Cottage Flowers was established in 2022, once I found my customer base. Those of you who love the ethos of supporting a local small and independent business and who love the idea of seasonal flowers that have been grown organically without the use of chemicals. I have so many returning customers and again, this means the world. Thank you 😊

I can provide flowers for all occasions. and

I put on workshops throughout the year and I am happy to talk with you about private workshops for a birthday or other occasions.

Christmas Wreath Workshops dates have been released and dates are filling fast. Please enquire if interested.

My books are open for weddings for 2026/2027 and I will be showcasing at on Sunday if you wish to have an informal chat.

My goal for 2026-2027 is to provide the flowers for woodland weddings and events 🥰
