I’ve got to share what turned out to be a brilliant day at work yesterday.
As a huge rugby fan and former infantry soldier, attending a 6 Nations–themed charity event at the stunning was an absolute joy.
Set in Wiltshire, Carvers Hill is more than just an award-winning vineyard (their Pinot Noir Rosé is outstanding). The venue itself is beautifully finished, with impressive event, meeting, and conference spaces that really set the tone for the day.
Before guests arrived, I was lucky enough to be given a tour of the winery, which only added to what became a fantastic event.
Hearing from true legends of the game just a week before the 2026 RBS 6 Nations kicks off was insightful, hilarious, and genuinely moving. It was incredible to see so many people giving so generously to help improve the lives of those who have made sacrifices for us all.
Hats off to Tim Griffiths and the incredible team at Carvers Hill, and a very special round of applause to — easily the best host I’ve ever had the privilege to witness. My sides are still aching from laughter this morning.
