Shooting outside is a lot safer this year too.

Frankie's cake was made by the wonderfully talented - I love the ombré piped swirls!

I also got some letters that I painted in blue ombré and I'm really happy with how they turned out. I do love photographing cake smashes!

My first outdoor cake smash. 🍰

Little Rosie turned 1 at the beginning of July and we decided to try out an outdoor cake smash! An outdoor cake smash is definitely a lot safer right now and is perfect when the weather is good. 👌🏼

I love how excited Esmé was for her birthday photo shoot, it was almost as if she knew the whole thing was completely about her!

I had my super helpful sidekick, Alissa (a.k.a Esmé's sister who has been featured on my page before!), making her little sister laugh!

The calm before the storm...

I adore setting up the cake smash shoots, admittedly I probably spend far too long faffing about, especially considering it all gets smashed to within an inch of its life!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But I find the whole process really fun and I enjoy testing my creativity. 😊️
For those that don't know, I own a tiny little portable studio. So trying to get the set up exactly how I would like it to be, can be a little challenging sometimes.
One day I will have a full blown studio and I can't bloody wait! 🥳

Did someone say cake?! Oh my gosh I'm just going to burst with excitement!!

Esmé turned one back in February and celebrated in style. 🙌🏼
We chose pastel pink and purple as the main colour theme, which created a super fun and girly setting! 💗💜
