🎄 We’re Hiring! Join Our Festive Team at High Paradise Farm Tearoom🎄

Christmas is coming to the farm and we’re looking for some lovely seasonal staff to join us for our December Christmas events! ✨

If you love a cosy tearoom, festive bakes, twinkly lights and working as part of a warm, friendly team — we’d love to hear from you.

What we’re looking for:
🎄 Available weekends & over the Christmas period
🎄 15+ years old
🎄 Able to work at least one day every weekend
🎄 Have your own way of getting to us — YO72HT (we’re a little off the beaten track on the farm!)

Whether you’re looking for some extra Christmas income or your first job in hospitality, come and be part of the magic!

*That’s a wrap! What a weekend, what a month! 🎉*

The Boy’s 100th birthday, our end of season party AND the White Horse Enduro - what a cracking way to end the season!

From the bottom of our hearts - THANK YOU.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us this year, from near and far. We will forever be grateful for your continued love and support. ❤️

And a HUGE thank you to our amazing team who have worked so hard for us this season. It’s been a tough one, but you lot have truly kept the show on the road. We couldn’t do it without you!

*A quick update for the next few months:*

Our tearoom is now closed until December - check our website for all the details.

Our accommodation is still open as normal, and the campsite is open until the end of October.

Our phone will be monitored (but not glued to our hands!) and emails will be checked daily.

If you’re staying with us - we’ll see you soon!

If not, we hope to see you in December for ‘The Farm Before Christmas’ and our Apres Ski menu! 🎄⛷️

Coming in HOT for our last week of the summer season!!

*Thursday & Friday:* Open as normal, 10am - 4pm

*Saturday & Sunday:* END OF SEASON PARTY!
Saturday 10am - 4pm / Sunday 8.30am - 4pm

Join us for our end of season blowout AND the dog’s 100th birthday 😂

Live music, pizzas, plonk and plenty of b**r - come and help us drink and eat the farm dry!

Chill with amazing local musicians, soak up the views, and on Sunday you can head over and watch the White Horse Enduro in Boltby Forest. Make a weekend of it and drive out to us!

A quick heads up - after this weekend the tearoom will be closed for October & November. Accommodation stays open and the campsite is open until the end of October.

It’s been a MEGA summer - we’d love to go out on a high. Please come and support us if you can!

No need to book, just turn up, eat, drink and enjoy.

We are on the hunt for lovely, creative people who fancy running a workshop here at the farm during December for our ‘The Farm Before Christmas’!

We are totally open to ideas — could be candle making, sewing, art, Christmas crafts... anything cosy & festive! 🕯️🎨

We already have pottery & wreath making covered 🩷

If you run workshops or know someone amazing who does, we’d LOVE to hear from you. Our tearoom will be full of mince pies, mulled drinks and festive vibes — perfect workshop setting!

🍂 OPENING UPDATES FROM HIGH PARADISE FARM 🍂

September: Open Thursday - Sunday, 10am - 4pm

Saturday 13th & Friday 19th September— we have weddings on, so we’ll be doing a ‘pop-up’ tearoom from our horse trailer ‘Audrey’! 🐴

Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th September— End of Season Closing Party Weekend! 🎉 Live music both days, come and celebrate with us.

Into October & November— we’ve made a brash decision to close the tearoom for these months. We will be opening a few evenings for special events, so watch this space!

Why are we closing?
1. We are short staffed! Lots of our lovely team have fledged the Paradise nest to college and university this year.
2. These months simply don’t make much profit — it’s a lot of hard work for little reward.
3. We would like a wee little break so we are ready for you in December!

Then we will reopen strong and ready for December for a the Farm before Christmas... a whole month of the Christmas Barn being back open, ski apres menu, Santa, wreath making courses and plenty more exciting things in the pipeline... 🎄🎅

Sooo that’s the plan... stick with us, we love your ongoing support. Let’s start with September, and we’ll remind you where we’re at as the months go on... 💚

Last Christmas we asked for your help
We wanted to raise enough to get a defibrillator here at the farm. ❤️ 🏥

And you showed up.
Thanks to you, we raised over £1,400 from the memory tree, then an amazing local private trust stepped in to fund the rest.

Fast forward to today... it’s here and it’s installed.

God forbid you, your friends or loved ones ever need to use it. But if you do, we hope it gives a chance when every second counts.

Location: On the outside of our camping toilet block in the courtyard, YO7 2HT
Access: Public, 24/7, 365 days a year

The defib is registered with the ambulance service. In an emergency, call *999* and they’ll give you the access code for the cabinet and talk you through how to use it. The unit gives clear voice instructions so anyone can use it.

In a cardiac emergency, having a defib within minutes can double someone’s chance of survival. We hope it’s never needed. But if it is, it’s here.

Another day, another bee drama.
We’ve got a queenless hive. It’s too late in the season for Tinder dates with a new queen, so we’re doing the beekeeper equivalent of moving your single friend in with a married couple.

Step 1: Drown everyone in sugar syrup so they all smell like dessert and forget who they are.
Step 2: Slap newspaper + queen excluder between them like a awkward blind date wall.
Step 3: Hope they chew through, play nice, and don’t start a royal rumble.
