Yesterdays wedding was a hoot!! 🦉 (sorry we couldn’t not use a bad owl joke in this caption)

The amazing attended L&D’s wedding on Monday, as one of their gorgeous barn owls, Willow, was the ring bearer! How cool is that?!!

Our team even got the privilege of holding the owls and learning all about them. Thank you so much to L&D for being so lovely and allowing us to get involved in this special moment 🫶 We hope you had an incredible wedding day and we wish you all the best in married life!

A June wedding!💍💒🫶🌺🌞 - cue Bride Wars reference!! if you know you know 🤭

A sunny June makes for great photos and this month really proved that. We would post every second if we could but I think your phones would blow up so this is only a sneak peak into our camera rolls - there were so many more gorgeous weddings and events in June so make sure you follow us to keep up to date!

Since we reopened at the start of May we have been super duper busy hosting lots of gorgeous weddings and events in our newly renovated barn!!

We wanted to catch you all up on the past three months with some of our favourite photos from a HANDFUL of our weddings. This post is dedicated to the beautiful month of May!! 🌸🧚🏽‍♀️🐥🕊️🌷

With weddings comes suppliers and we are happy to shout out a good chunk in attendance throughout the month. Although we take note of most, we don’t get the name of every company/person that works at the barn so please please if you worked a wedding at the barn in May please comment below to shout yourself out!!! We pride ourselves on being flexible and happy to work around specific requirements – we know each event is unique!

Propaganda we ARE falling for…

Vintage umbrellas and fans
The vibe of a summers wedding where your guests are mingling in the grounds of your venue, umbrella in hand or seated at your outdoor ceremony fanning themselves with gorgeous paper fans is definitely something we are falling for! And so cost effective!

Statement drinks tables
If you are wanting to make an impact through every aspect of your day, then a statement drinks table is the way to go. Why have a boring table with a few glasses of Prosecco when you can go all out with rustic crates, florals and fruit!

Fruit as decor
Speaking of fruit, we are OBSESSED with using it as decoration. It can turn basic decor into an elevated, unique piece. The luxurious style of a bunch of grapes or organic nature of apples will leave your guests in awe and possibly a bit hungry aha!

Styled gift card table
When creating your wedding theme, colours or style it’s important to consider the gift card table. This is one of the first impressions your guests get as they walk into your day and is a spot that people will continue to come back to. We strongly recommend you hire a stylist like who in particular goes above and beyond to ensure every aspect is in keeping with your vision! 💌

Trestle tables
At any barn venue it’s always a good idea to use the wooden beams and rustic charm as inspiration. An easy tip is to hire trestle tables. They are a simple yet very effective way of making an impact with your wedding breakfast set up!🍽️

Singers in the grounds
Could it get anymore magical?!! We had the amazing at our inspiration evening and it reinstalled the fact that you can’t beat live music. It’s the perfect way to amplify your ceremony (warning: this WILL induce tears!) or to give your drinks reception that laid back ambience🎤

Sweet treats
If you prefer traybakes and cookies to cake then this is the one for you. And who doesn’t love a sweet treat! 🧁

Plants at the end of trestles
Such a creative way to jazz up your wedding breakfast! Ask your florist or get down to the garden centre to find some amazing plants to accessorise your tables 🪴
