Spending more time outdoors is great, but high temperatures can quickly lead to heat exhaustion or even heatstroke if we’re not careful.
😓 Early signs include dizziness, headaches, nausea, and heavy sweating.
➡️ Make sure to rest, cool down, and drink plenty of water.
🚨 If someone becomes confused, very hot, or collapses, it could be heatstroke – call 999 immediately.
💧 Stay hydrated
🧢 Wear light clothing
⛱️ Take breaks in the shade
👵 Check on vulnerable people

If you’re taking SSRIs, it’s important to know that some medications can affect how your body regulates temperature. This can make it harder to stay cool during hot weather.
During heatwaves, try to:

💧 Drink plenty of water
🌿 Stay in cool, shaded places where possible
🧢 Take it easy and avoid overexertion

First aid for mental health isn’t about having all the answers.
It’s about noticing, listening, and checking in.

A kind word.
Taking time to listen.
Encouraging someone to seek support.

These small actions can make a big difference.
This week, let’s remind ourselves and others that:
✅ It’s OK to talk
✅ It’s OK to ask for help
✅ And it’s OK not to be OK
