Ever After - Dartmoor elopements

So I posted a lil nudge to couples looking to get married here this year earlier this morning.

This post is to all those couples who have already joined the exclusive Ever After club. You are the only people who can book to come back and stay with us in the future - yay!

What do you need to know? Well first up, the website is coming down permanently at the end of august. Yep, a sad day for sure as I’ve poured my heart & soul into that little corner of the internet for the last 12 years. But at the end of the month it will be no more. Finished.

I’ll be keeping this insta page so make sure you tick that option to be notified of any new posts on here. This will be where I’ll announce new dates available to come & stay. My email address will stay the same & my phone number will also stay the same so you can WhatsApp me.

I’m setting up a new blog which I’ll let you know about on here & that will keep you in touch with dates & contact deets etc

As we’re winding down to the end of the year and the end of Ever After weddings, it’s been pretty quiet on here.

BTS we’re getting into the detail for our last ever September elopements. Ah September - such a great month for a lil wedding.

Swipe for a stroll thro some of our September weddings last year - there were some great ones.

We’ve still got a couple of September dates left. If Tuesday 23 or Tuesday 30 September might work for you - get in touch! Time’s running out. You need to give 28 days legal notice of marriage but if you can get that sorted, we can get you booked in.

Just think, in 10 weeks time you could be MARRIED!

As you know (see previous post) this is our very last year for weddings

We’ve still got dates available for September and October so if a late summer or autumn wedding works for you - run don’t walk!

Our next viewing date is Saturday 12 April. Most couples book their elopement site unseen but if you want to take a look before booking, 12 April is your chance

This is a big post today.

We’ve got a big announcement which I know is going to be a surprise to a lot of people.

Here we go…

2025 is the very last year for all Ever After weddings. We’re closing at the end of this year for good.

We’re excited to go out on a high creating more amazing elopement weddings for 2025 and then that’s it. No more weddings at Ever After.

There’s full blog post up on the website today with more info. We’ll still be welcoming our couples back for anniversary stays after this year but there’ll be no new weddings after December this year.

Def an emosh announcement for us. I have lots of people to thank & those are all on todays blog post incl all our team of fab suppliers and if you got married with us, there are thanks to you too.

HNY!

Wow 2025 here we are. We had some uber gorge elopements in 2024 - hopefully I’ll get a review blog up on the website shortly.

In the meantime here are some BTS shots of one of our weddings here last month. All the cosy, twinkly Christmassy feels with whites & reds

Over on the website today this elegant elopement with zero guests
Spooky coincidence re the ceremony location - it was planned for under the willow tree on the river walk. Then 5 mins before the ceremony start we discovered a wasps nest by the tree so we quickly moved the tree flowers, lanterns & registrar’s table and chairs to the oak tree at the other end of the river walk. Let’s add some colour to the grid today - with Mollie & Rachel’s bright & beautiful elopement last April (wow where did that time go?!)

From a bridal bouquet with aaaaalll the brights to an indoor confetti throw to a colourful table scape with hand picked drinks for each guest, Mollie & Rachel had a wonderful wedding.

And there’s a film! As soon as I get that in from Caroline I’ll share it 🎥🍿

I mentioned in my earlier grid post there were a lot of details with Maria & Steve’s elopement wedding so here they are…
Harpist for ceremony & reception
Steve made all the lanterns for the table
Each guest had a beautiful hand painted stone as a gift
There were his & hers drinks on the drinks cart
They brought in pots of forget-me-nots for a remembrance display
They had their own wedding day newspaper
Sunglasses for all
Special socks for wedding wellies

Special sign at the end of the road
