We've added a few More options from Dead Man's Fingers to our Line-up

I’d never normally promote something happening at another venue, but the HallowsFest CIC event over Halloween weekend is only a short walk from us and looks like something a lot of our followers would really enjoy.

It’s alternative, independent, and exactly the sort of thing we love to support.
And anyone attending on the Saturday is more than welcome to carry on the night with us afterwards at House of Funk 🎃🕺

If you enjoyed the last two Halloween parties at 61 — or you thought they were s**t — either way, you’ll want to see what we’ve got planned this year. 😂

Once again we’re joining forces with House of Funk for Halloween at Coal Orchard.

And best of all, it’s completely FREE to attend. 🎃

Im addressing the comments and inbox messages about cancelling the event that was scheduled for the end of November.

I made it known around two months ago that the event could not happen here, so this is not something that has suddenly been decided at the last minute.

I wouldn’t cancel an event without a legitimate reason.

Long before moving to Coal Orchard i invested heavily in supporting Taunton’s underground dance and rave scene and giving these events a home. When other local venues closed their doors to them, we carried on backing them.

Some of those same venues have now done a complete U-turn and are hosting these nights themselves

It’s no secret that my number one passion is the comedy club side of what we do, but I genuinely love hosting these dance and rave events too.

So the s**tty comments, digs and inbox messages aimed at us over this cancellation are neither helpful nor needed.

There is a genuine reason behind the decision, and we stand by it.

I’ll continue supporting the scene, the DJs, promoters and customers who are part of it for the right reasons.
