Building blocks is on again this week and look how great the hall is !! Plenty of space , light and well ventilated perfect for a toddler group

It’s the last building blocks of this term tomorrow anyone welcome with children of pre school age it’s 9-11am
Tansley community hall and it’s mini scarecrow making as well as other activities / toys to play with think it’s £2.50 per child

A new heating system has been installed in the Hall. The system heats up the Hall very much quicker, provides hot water without waiting for a cylinder to warm up and will be more economical. Thanks to the Parish Council for funding and arranging for this improvement.

The Management Committee of Tansley Community Hall is pleased to let Tansley residents know that the hall has been granted charitable status and is now a registered charity (number 1185294).

Chair of the committee, Joe Woods, says:

We do have a number of areas of the Hall that we need to develop and improve to bring it up to modern day standards – and charitable status means we can now apply for grants that were previously unattainable. We would particularly like to achieve the installation of disabled access and toilets amongst other improvements. We have outline plans for this – the next stage is to get detailed plans in place and raise the funds to implement the plans. We are very grateful to the Friends who helped with the summer “spring clean” in August and we would now appreciate any offers to research and apply for grants for the refurbishment work as well as any offers to do some fundraising. This really is a community project – especially as the Hall is owned by the village and its residents.

We are also pleased to say that the Hall now has a new floor – the old wooden floor has had a new laminate wood surface laid on top of it with new skirting. It not only looks really good but it is smooth and provides an excellent surface for the many activities that can take place in the Hall. Our grateful thanks go to the Parish Council for their financial support for this much needed improvement to the Hall and its facilities

We are pleased to announce that this years Scarecrow Trail raises £377 for Ashgate Hospicecare. A huge thank you to everyone who entered the scarecrow competition, volunteered for the event, put bunting up and took part on the Scarecrow Trail day.
