It’s perfect for private events and corporate hire where we can show off our passion for quality beef and are now looking to expand the family business by onboarding a friendly, personable and confident individual who can grow into Senior Management as part of this exciting business venture.
Job description
Initially, this is a part-time/weekend position - You will be responsible for preparing and production of the steak sandwiches, the development of private and corporate catering accounts, event planning and engaging clients in ongoing relationships with the company to generate a healthy calendar of future bookings.
After joining you'll be acclimatised straight away to understand current practices, team skills and limitations meaning you can hit the ground running. You will demonstrate a high standard of hygiene, cooking ability and speed of service while maintaining a positive persona with this client-facing role.
Through effectively supporting the integrity and reputation of Linley’s Outside Catering’s services, this individual has the opportunity to grow into a full-time Managing Director position. Whereby, they will be responsible for coordinating with the owner and overseeing all aspects of the business.
Ultimately, the opportunity to manage your own Outside Catering business will present itself, supported by a combined 50+ years of successful hospitality and business owner experience.
Key Responsibilities
Trailer/Operations:
• Orders, stock rotation and purchasing.
• You will be required to maintain a high standard of hygiene and cooking skills and always present the perfect sandwich.
• Be able to manage customer orders efficiently while communicating to a high standard.
• Have the ability to coordinate with staff and multi-task effectively under pressure.
• Following the current legalisations, you will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of HACCP and COSHH procedures.
• Ensure the trailer and all equipment is kept clean and well maintained.
Sales/Business Development:
• Full responsibility for overseeing all aspects of both financial and operational performance including guests, sales, business development, P+L, social media management, feedback/reviews, emails, training and developing of staff, health & safety and stock control.
• Process incoming event inquiries in a timely fashion, capturing all event details and keeping an organised calendar.
• Have awareness of how to maintain accounts to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Submittal of bookings into a shared calendar.
• Ensure accurate and timely follow-up with client for confirmation of event details, inquiries and necessary changes.
• Become fluent in Trello to follow tasks/work set by owner.
• Assume responsibility for the achievement of long/short term targeted sales objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Previous experience in Hospitality/Restaurant Management (preferred).
• Have previous experience within a high quality, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule/weekends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Mathematical skills – ability to calculate cost of product sales, stock and revenue.
• Full UK Driving License.
