A little review… We couldn’t recommend Rival Catering enough for our wedding. From the very first contact, it was clear they are a genuine, family-run business who truly care about what they do. We loved that they locally source much of their produce and meat – that was a big selling point for us. They were an absolute pleasure to work with throughout. Communication was easy, straightforward, and stress-free – no chasing, no faffing, just honest and helpful guidance. We were able to choose our menu with ease, and they even advised us on where to scale things back slightly. For example, they suggested reducing the number of canapés and evening food portions, explaining that with a traditional roast-style wedding breakfast, guests are often full and don’t tend to eat as much later on. That level of honesty really stood out to us – it showed they genuinely cared more about our experience than simply increasing the cost. The food itself was nothing short of incredible. My husband and I are big food lovers with high expectations, and Rival Catering completely exceeded them. We received so many compliments from our guests, as well as from our wedding planner, about both the quality and presentation. The portions were generous, and nothing felt skimped on in the slightest. In fact, one of our guests was so impressed they even asked if Rival Catering would cater their Christmas Day at home – which says it all! The service on the day was flawless, professional, and seamless from start to finish. They also left the kitchen at the venue absolutely spotless – if anything, cleaner than when they arrived. If you’re looking for a catering team who are talented, honest, and truly passionate about what they do, we would wholeheartedly recommend Rival Catering.
