AUTUMN SUNSHINE, YOU BEAUTIFUL THING! ☀️🍂

I absolutely LOVE this time of year when the sun sits low and creates those gorgeous contrasts of light and shadow across the flowers. Half the bouquet in sunshine, half in darkness… nature doing the photography for me!

Starting the week with a bouquet that's anything but ordinary! 💙🩷

A little bit wild, a little bit quirky, loads of texture and some seriously beautiful colours. Those anthuriums, proteas and fluffy feathers… 😍

It's a BIG week behind the scenes at The Flower Girl, with a big wedding to prep for and deliver on Friday — and it's just me doing it all! 🫣 So, whilst I'll still be here working away, my time is a little more limited than usual this week.

If you're after flowers, please get in touch in advance so I can get everything organised around the wedding. I won't be able to accommodate the usual last-minute requests this week, so a little forward planning goes a long way ❤️

SCHOOLS OUT!! 🙌🏻 And after disappearing off the face of Instagram since MID-SEPTEMBER… I'M BACK!! 🫣

Honestly, life has been absolutely WILD lately!

Between Harry and Daisy's 19 million extracurricular activities, family commitments, party set-ups, a diary FULL of weddings and keeping The Flower Girl ticking along behind the scenes… social media was the first thing to go!

But don't mistake my silence for doing nothing 🤣

I've beee generally trying to keep all the plates spinning while being a mum, a wife and a human being who occasionally needs to sit down for five bloody minutes 🥴

I've also just finished up at school for a few weeks, so I'm hoping to get myself organised, catch up with you all and actually SHOW you some of what I've been up to!

CHRISTMAS WREATH MAKING WORK SHOPS ARE COMING!!

I've finally got a date in the diary, so I'll be announcing all the details very soon! If you fancy a bit of festive foliage, creativity, a good natter and getting into the Christmas spirit, keep your eyes peeled....

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the FIRST PUMPKIN OF THE SEASON?! 🎃🍂

Autumn has officially entered The Flower Girl and I am absolutely here for it! 😍

Sunflowers, hot pink roses, burnt orange celosia, eucalyptus, autumn foliage... and obviously we HAD to add a tiny pumpkin!!

Honestly, I think this might be my favourite time of year for flowers, but I say that all the time 😂

A little flower meaning for you all...

This is Sanguisorba — and I bloody love it!!

It’s one of those flowers that adds that gorgeous floaty, wild, slightly unruly texture to a bouquet. Those little burgundy flower heads dancing around on long stems just make everything feel a bit more natural and interesting 🤎

And it has a rather lovely history too…

The name Sanguisorba comes from Latin words connected with blood, because the plant’s roots were traditionally valued for their astringent and haemostatic properties.

So over time, it’s become associated with ideas of healing, strength and protection — which I think makes it a pretty special flower to give someone 🌿

Whether you're sending flowers to say “I'm thinking of you,” “get well soon,” “I'm proud of you,” or simply “I saw these and thought you'd love them”… I reckon Sanguisorba has a little something to say 🤎

And honestly… sometimes the slightly weird ones are the best ones, just like me 🤣

Well and truly back to FLOWERS… 🥺

After a slightly chaotic return to work this week 🫠😂, I’m finally getting around to sharing some actual FLOWERS rather than just my moaning head 🤣

And what better way to make my first post back than with this absolute autumnal beauty?! 🌻🍂🧡

Rich, warm, slightly moody and packed with gorgeous seasonal blooms. I think autumn might just be sneaking in whether I'm ready for it or not!

I’m FULLY BOOKED TODAY, so I don't have any more orders available for today. If I do have any stems spare after 3pm, I'll pop it on my stories — although I honestly don't know if there will be anything left! 👀

Still slots for tomorrow but it's a short day and I get full fairly quickly 🤍

And yes… the work phone is very much ON again 📱
