Seeing your Venue a month before your wedding!

About a month from their wedding day we organised a visit to the beautiful Manor ByThe Lake.

The reason for this: It gives the couples a chance to walk the venue with me and go through the choices them made for their wedding flowers and venue decor.

We are often booked up to 18months before the wedding day and couples can forget some pf the choices they made.
Or they change their minds about some of the elements they loved when we first started talking about their wedding.

This visit gives them a chance to revisit all their choices and confirm them or make any amendments or bring in new ideas.

From this venue visit we lock everything in and everyone knows what they are doing and the excitement mounts.

The manor by the lake is a fabulous venue with beautifully manicured grounds and I have heard they have added more bedrooms to accommodate additional guests. And a lovely conservatory onto the ballroom has also been.

They are well worth a visit if you are looking for your wedding venue.

We explored the meaning of experience design. Who it’s for, when to design it and how to achieve it.

Julie led thoughtful, emotional sessions where we held space for each other, became vulnerable, joyful and open.

Hi there,

I am Sandra, the lead floral designer and stylist at Fabulous Functions UK, creating intentional florals and venue transformations that turn weddings into meaningful, memorable experiences for everyone in the room.

For me, it’s never just about how a wedding looks. It’s about how it feels.
I love asking couples the questions that help them think beyond colour palettes and centrepieces and instead focus on the atmosphere they want to create and the memories they want their guests to carry home.
Because when a celebration feels intentional, thoughtful and personal, that’s when it becomes unforgettable

Somethings you may not know about me….

I said ‘Yes!’

Many years ago I said ‘No! That’s Not For Me.’
I stuck to that

Fast forward a few decades, and I said, Ok, ‘Yes’ let me try it.
I did, fell on my but a few times, got up and carried on. Not very elegantly I must admit, But I had fun, and I kept doing it.

Skiing that is…
I love the feeling of achieving something new.
Mastering the art of balancing on two slick blades on a slippery snowy slope.
The speed coming down the piste.
Working out how to avoid other skiers and snowboarders so I don’t crash into them and bring them down.
Challenging myself to go higher and higher up the slope. It’s scary at the top, but I will do it!

Behind the Scenes
One thing I don’t like is having photos and videos taken of me when I am working, as I always look miserable. This is so far from the truth though. When I am setting up a wedding or celebration, I am invested in creating the very best settings for my couples. So, concentration is key. Also, we usually have a time schedule to respect. Getting everything in place for the festivities to start. When it comes to your event I don’t play!
