A Fond(ant) Farewell

It's been a wonderful 10 years of baking and creativity but the time has come for Ladies That Cake to take off the pinny.
I've had a great deal of fun making unique and interesting cakes for you lovely lot over the years and I've truly enjoyed the creative challenges, the excited smiles, the "Wow!" reactions and wonderful feedback you've given me.
I am moving on to a new chapter and looking forward to baking for purely recreational purposes 🍰😁
Thank you all for your support over the years and I hope that some of cakes you've seen pass across this page may perhaps have inspired you to give creative caking a try for yourself.
My kids are eternally grateful to you for all the cake offcuts and the cakepops they made 😉

A 21st Birthday cake for Dr Who loving twins. Happy Birthday boys.
The Tardis is an 8" tall vanilla sponge filled with vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam, the Daleks are made from rice krispy treats.

This rich chocolate orange cake went off to the 21st birthday party of a huge Marvel fan this week.

This one had a chocolate and mint flavoured bottom tier and a lemon drizzle flavoured top tier.

A vanilla and salted caramel cake this week for a KFC lover.
(That's not actually gravy in the pot, but an extra slug of salted caramel)

My youngest son turns 16 today and couldn't decide what sort of cake he wanted.
In the end he didn't seem to mind too much being talked into this rich chocolate sponge filled with peanut butter buttercream and salted caramel and topped with mini Reese's Pieces.
