Time to fetch a cup of your favourite Sunday morning brew and settle in for a 20 minute inspirational read. We're turning our backs on the disposable nature of social media this morning and embracing the beautiful, old-school, long form read format with this excellent report, produced by Botanical Illustrator and Love My Dress contributor, .argyrou.

This is a FASCINATING article, that features compelling insights from expert British flower farmers, talented wedding florists and floral stylists.

Charlotte covers everything, from climate change and extreme weather to locally sourced and seasonal. From the evolution of luxury wedding flowers to floral waste and the wedding flower budgets. She details, through passionate observation, five key wedding flower trends we'll be seeing this year.

We'd be incredibly grateful for your feedback on this article. We feel a deep commitment to raising the profile of all British wedding suppliers, but have a special soft spot for those who work with flowers.

Love and gratitude to the following British flowers farmers, floral stylists and artists who have so generously contributed their time and expertise to this piece:

Posted • Thank you 2022 🤍 It’s been a while since I shared photos from my home, and it is a good reason for it: I’m moving to London!!🥂🇬🇧

I actually landed the job in London back in early October and have been working hard on sorting out visas, renovations at our house in Norway (which we are keeping) and exiting out of my old job. My life is currently being lived out of suitcases and in between homes 🇬🇧🇳🇴

In relation to this change, I have decided to take you with me on the journey of finding a London flat and styling it🤞

I have also decided to share a little bit more about my life, starting with some photos from my 2022 wedding. I loved looking at others wedding photos when I was planning my own wedding. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions regarding my wedding. More than happy to help 😀

Here follows a list of my suppliers. The wedding took place at Ashridge House in Herefordshire, UK in August 2022. It was such a dream to work with these amazing suppliers. I could not recommend them enough.

On behalf of all of us here at Wedding Flowers HQ, I would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a fabulous New Year.

2023 is going to be filled with the most beautiful weddings and we can't wait to work with all the couples who have already booked me as their floral designer. Thank you.

I am hugely grateful for all of you who I have worked with over the last 13 years, thank you for appreciating the beauty of flowers and for valuing the skill, expertise, years of experience and the labour of love (not forgetting the blood, sweat and tears) that floral design is.
In those moments of exhaustion, stress and the general feeling of being overwhelmed, I think of the couple on their wedding day -tears of joy, sometimes speechless, at the sight of their bouquets, venue decor and centrepieces, the hugs and thank yous the next morning from the parents, the guests who stop me to say they've never seen anything more beautiful!.
This is what has spurred me on to continue through the tough few years I've had personally and the Pandemic that impacted every one of us.

England certainly isn't the easiest place to live right now, but there are so many who are dealing with much much worse around the World. We can weather the storm of a recession and rising bills, and weddings, however big or small, will continue to be celebrated with love and happiness…and beautiful flowers 💐

Merry Christmas everyone.
The grid will be back in action in the New Year!

And for the finale, here's Kathy throwing her bouquet...well, not her actual Fan bouquet but a 'throw bouquet' that she ordered in addition, so she could have this memorable and fun moment.
I mean, if you're going to have a staircase like Ashridge's, use it every way you can!
Again, featuring the back row of our Fairy Light installation.
