It all started with a course on Christmas flowers, that lead to another course of Easter flowers that then led to a “lets give up the day job” and do a course on something wonderful with flowers and design with passion and meaning. Its all about flowers and love, some are flowers for falling in love and some are for saying farewell to someone you love, but every design is full of meaning and for me it tells the story of love.
Buds of Mave is all about my Mum called Mavis, but loved to be called Mave, my inspiration came from my Mum and her love of art, and my Dads passion for flower design. This is my tribute to them. My passion of gardening and growing flowers, and designing flowers that bring happiness for couples in love , and comfort to others at a time of loss.
I work from home, and often when the weather is nice I make my arrangements in the garden listening to all the birds singing, I do not have a shop and buy my flowers to order and choose the flowers myself. I need two weeks notice for birthdays and special occasion flowers, as I don’t keep flowers in stock.
At times of loss, I offer a home visit as my clients find it easier and makes the tribute more personal.
