MEANINGFUL TOUCHES – C & M's wedding was a beautiful celebration of their lives together, and they found a unique way to share their story with their guests. By choosing names of places that held special meaning to them as a couple for their wedding tables, they added a deeply personal touch to their big day. Each table name represented a significant location in their relationship, from the city where they first met to where they got engaged. This thoughtful detail not only began conversations between guests but also allowed everyone to feel more connected to the C & M’s love story.

Being creative with your table names is a wonderful way to personalise your wedding. 5 REASONS YOU NEED A WEDDING PLANNER – Even the most organised, best planned weddings have obstacles and problems that need solving.

Here are 5 real life examples of what can happen during the wedding planning process and on the day:
1. Your photographer suddenly falls ill the afternoon before your wedding.
2. Your cake isn’t constructed properly, and the top tiers collapse before guests are seated for the wedding breakfast.
3. You accidentally order your evening food for the wrong date.
4. Some of your guests forget to RSVP, and there’s no seat for them for the wedding breakfast.

PERSONAL DETAILS – For G & O’s wedding, they took inspiration from Instagram and Tik Tok for a special touch to their day.

They chose a mirror, adorned with personal vinyl decals, as part of the décor for the drinks reception. The perfect backdrop for guest selfies, we then moved it inside for the wedding reception so guests could continue to have some fun with their photos.

Choosing items that you can use across multiple parts of your wedding is a great way of keeping consistency of your story, and adds interest to the different sections of your wedding.

HELLO YOU – It’s lovely to have you here! For those that don’t know me, I’m Georgina, founder and award-winning wedding planner at Georgina Alexander Weddings. I create elegant, modern and memorable experiences built on a foundation of quality, and attention to the details, across the UK and beyond.

Details are what I’m all about, from the meticulous planning of your wedding, minutiae of detailed spreadsheets and logistics plans, to the pretty of designing spaces and tablescapes that speak of your wedding vision. My superpower is bringing all the pieces of your wedding puzzle together, and your wedding vision to life. I’m at my happiest when I’m creating elegant and modern love stories, true to you as a couple.

I pinch myself every day that I get to do this job and work with the best couples to plan their most important day. It’s such a privilege to be part of your wedding story.

Some things you might not know about me:
- I was born and raised in a small town outside of Wellington, New Zealand and I’ve lived in England for nearly 25 years.
- I was a competitive ballroom dancer from the age of 7 until my early 30’s, until injury forced me into retirement. I’ve travelled the world dancing (including Blackpool!) and it’s how my husband and I met.
- I love murder and legal dramas, and I really wanted to be a lawyer or Diplomat when I was younger!

It can be a very overwhelming and all-consuming task, but finding the right suppliers that fit your wedding style and budget is one of the most important parts of planning a wedding.

To help get you started, here are my top tips for choosing your supplier dream team:
• Determine the suppliers you need for your wedding
• Do your research
• Shortlist your favourites
• Enquire and ask for all the information
• Don’t make it all about budget - cheaper isn’t necessarily better!
• Connect, follow and engage with your favourites on social media
• Follow your instincts and book
• Tell the other suppliers you’re not moving forward with them - nobody likes to be ghosted!
