REAL WEDDING - A Favourite Moment from the 2026 Season.

One of the greatest privileges of my role is watching months of planning come to life.

For C & D’s wedding, every detail was carefully considered to reflect their personalities, from the design and styling through to the overall guest experience.

Seeing everything come together exactly as envisioned is what makes this job so rewarding.

OCTOBER - Crisp days, cool nights, and the gentle shift into autumn.

As wedding season begins to slow, it's a reminder to embrace quieter moments, cosy evenings and a chance to pause before the excitement of next year's celebrations begins.

For me, October is a month of reflection. Looking back on the beautiful weddings, wonderful couples and incredible supplier teams I've had the privilege of working with this season, while also looking ahead to all that's still to come.

It's a season of golden light, changing colours and slowing down just enough to appreciate the moments in between.

THE WORK YOU DON'T SEE - When people think of wedding planning, they often picture beautiful spaces like this, stunning florals and thoughtful details.

In reality, much of my work happens behind the scenes. From sourcing the right suppliers and reviewing contracts, to creating timelines, managing budgets and coordinating logistics, my role is to ensure every element comes together seamlessly.

The beautiful details matter, but it's the planning behind them that allows my couples to relax, enjoy the process and be fully present on their wedding day.

BACK ON THE GRID - After a couple of weeks recovering from a chest infection, I'm finally back at my desk and easing back into work.

As the 2026 wedding season draws to a close, I'm feeling incredibly grateful for the trust my couples place in me to bring their wedding visions to life. It's a privilege I never take lightly, and being part of such meaningful milestones is truly an honour.

Now it's full steam ahead with planning for next year's weddings, and I'm excited to be returning to some of my favourite venues. The 2028 diary is now open, and I'm currently taking bookings for both Full Planning and Partial Planning services.

There is still limited availability for Wedding Management in 2027, so if you're looking for experienced support to bring everything together on the day, I'd love to hear from you.

PINTEREST: A WORD OF CAUTION - Pinterest can be an incredibly useful tool when you're planning a wedding.

Beautiful stationery, thoughtful styling, elegant tablescapes, floral inspiration... it's a wonderful place to gather ideas and begin shaping your vision.

Where it becomes less helpful is when inspiration turns into comparison. After all, the goal isn't to recreate somebody else's wedding. It's to create a celebration that feels authentic to you.

The most memorable weddings aren't built around trends or perfectly curated inspiration boards. They're shaped by personal choices, meaningful details and a clear understanding of what matters most to the couple at the heart of it all.

Let inspiration guide you, then create something entirely your own. Your Pinterest board should be the starting point, not the final destination.

The most beautiful weddings aren't copied. They're considered, personal and entirely your own.

Your wedding should tell your story, not somebody else's.

YOUR BUDGET IS NOT YOUR PRIORITY LIST - One of the biggest misconceptions in wedding planning is that your budget and your priorities are the same thing. They're not.

Your budget is simply the amount you're investing in your celebration. Your priorities are the elements that matter most to you.

For one couple, that might be exceptional food and drink. For another, it could be live music, beautiful floral design or capturing every moment through photography. Two weddings with exactly the same budget can look completely different, simply because the priorities behind them are different.

That's why one of the first conversations I have with couples isn't about where to spend their budget, it's about what matters most to them.

Once you're clear on your priorities, every decision that follows becomes easier, more intentional and far more aligned with the celebration you want to create.

Because the most successful weddings aren't built around a budget alone, they're built around what you value most.

The key isn't spending more. It's knowing where to invest.
