With over 15 years experience in the Wedding and Event hire business and cover from our Total Support Hi, I’m Fred and I’m the owner of Holmsted Events.

I’ve worked more than 15 years in the events industry. I started in the industry erecting large marquees in Australia for a national exhibition company. Coming home to the UK, I moved to a large events company in Manchester, specialising in marquees for weddings and other events. I returned to Kent in 2003 to work for the South East’s main supplier of marquees and event equipment and after a short

time, I moved up to manage their marquee division. In 2012, I set up Holmsted Events specialising in tipis for weddings and events in Kent and the South East.

The atmosphere inside this 12x30m Sailcloth Tent in Barcombe was nothing short of phenomenal ✨🤍

Designed to feel warm, inviting, and effortlessly elegant, every detail worked together to create an unforgettable space for guests to celebrate.

The setup included:

Sometimes it’s the little extra details that create the biggest wow factor ✨

One of our favourite styling additions for Sailcloth Marquees is our 6 metre suspended metal pole — fitted between the king poles and designed specifically for hanging floral installations, statement lighting, draping, disco balls, foliage, and styling features 🌿

Using a pulley system, the pole is lowered to working height for your florist or stylist to decorate safely and easily, before being lifted seamlessly into position above your guests ✨

The result? A stunning suspended centrepiece that completely transforms the feel of the marquee and creates an incredible focal point from the moment guests walk in 🤍
