With over 15 years experience in the Wedding and Event hire business and cover from our Total Support Hi, I’m Fred and I’m the owner of Holmsted Events.

I’ve worked more than 15 years in the events industry. I started in the industry erecting large marquees in Australia for a national exhibition company. Coming home to the UK, I moved to a large events company in Manchester, specialising in marquees for weddings and other events. I returned to Kent in 2003 to work for the South East’s main supplier of marquees and event equipment and after a short time, I moved up to manage their marquee division. In 2012, I set up Holmsted Events specialising in tipis for weddings and events in Kent and the South East.

A beautiful Sailcloth wedding reception filled with all the details that make a wedding feel truly personal.

From the gorgeous florals by to the relaxed, elegant setting created beneath the Sailcloth, this was such a beautiful celebration. Add in delicious food from , cosy Bell Tent accommodation from .events and an evening of dancing with — and you have a pretty perfect wedding weekend. ✨

We love how the Sailcloth creates such a beautiful blank canvas. It can feel relaxed and natural during the day, then transform as the evening arrives, with the lighting, flowers, tables and those all-important personal touches bringing everything to life.

We’ve finally had the full album from a beautiful June wedding — and we couldn’t wait to share a few glimpses of the Sailcloth on the day. 🤍

There’s something so lovely about seeing a marquee come to life once the flowers are in place, the tables are dressed, the guests arrive and all those little details come together.

We were so pleased to receive this message:

“Thank you again to you and all your team for helping to make it so special.”

It’s messages like this that mean so much to our team. We spend a lot of time behind the scenes making sure everything is ready, but seeing the finished photographs and knowing the marquee played a small part in such an important day is incredibly rewarding.

Huge thank you to our team with a big Staff BBQ at Greenhill Farm! ☀️🎉

It was the perfect opportunity to bring everyone together, enjoy some downtime and celebrate the incredible team behind everything we do.

A massive thank you to every single member of our team. Your hard work, commitment, long hours and willingness to go the extra mile are what make our season possible. We truly couldn’t do it without you, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything you do — often behind the scenes and always with such dedication.

A beautiful summer wedding for Emma & Mala at Tonbridge School 🤍✨

We loved seeing our marquee transformed for their special day, with its spacious layout, elegant structure and beautiful open setting providing the perfect backdrop for their celebrations.

Finished with vibrant florals and thoughtful styling, the marquee created a light, welcoming space for guests to enjoy the wedding breakfast and celebrate long into the evening. 🌿💐🥂

This gorgeous set-up at Bore Place had everything we love about a summer marquee wedding — round tables dressed with beautiful seasonal flowers, plenty of space for guests to relax and celebrate, and of course, brilliant food to bring everyone together.
