The Fire Station is a vibrant, mid-scale performance venue in the heart of Sunderland – housing a brand new the state-of-the-art Auditorium and The Engine Room bar & bistro. Whether you’re an indie rock champion, adventurous jazzer, theatre devotee, comedy enthusiast or just after a great night out, our programme is packed with entertainment from music and comedy to dance and theatre.

2022 will

also see the opening of the Parade Ground, bringing live music and performance to the glorious outdoors with an external stage, bar and festival atmosphere. The Fire Station is a hub for performance in the centre of the city. With studios, rehearsal spaces and teaching rooms upstairs, we’re inviting you to give it a go for yourself as well as nurturing the next generation of performers.

But we've got THREE huge shows to go ☀️🎉

Tonight we have the legendary Terrorvision (official) joining us with support from Pet Needs - a few tickets are still available if you want to join us, both online and on the door.

Tomorrow it's The Fire Station Summer Parties presents: The Diva Show - there are just FOUR tickets left, so don't delay if you want to nab those final tickets.

And on Sunday we have the sold out Ibiza In Symphony, a Summer Parties tradition drawing this unforgettable season to a close.

Looks who's joining the Music Against Child Poverty 2 line-up 👀

Tom A Smith returns to The Fire Station on Sunday 7 December for our huge charity fundraiser for Love, Amelia, who do amazing work supporting families living in poverty in the NE.

With your help we're aiming to raise £50,000 for Love, Amelia, with a further £50,000 to be donated to other Sunderland charities through matched funding from Community Foundation North East.
