The Fire Station is a vibrant, mid-scale performance venue in the heart of Sunderland – housing a brand new the state-of-the-art Auditorium and The Engine Room bar & bistro. Whether you’re an indie rock champion, adventurous jazzer, theatre devotee, comedy enthusiast or just after a great night out, our programme is packed with entertainment from music and comedy to dance and theatre.

2022 will

also see the opening of the Parade Ground, bringing live music and performance to the glorious outdoors with an external stage, bar and festival atmosphere. The Fire Station is a hub for performance in the centre of the city. With studios, rehearsal spaces and teaching rooms upstairs, we’re inviting you to give it a go for yourself as well as nurturing the next generation of performers.

Relight your 🔥 and join us for our Take That Pre-Party - an all-day long celebration featuring a live Robbie Williams tribute, multiple street food vendors, special Take That cocktails and more.

With four bars across our site and hundreds of comfy seats, plus our friends Chicken Ting and The Fire Truck out front serving food, this could be the greatest day of your life.

If the weather's great we'll party out front on our sun-trap terrace, and if not we'll open up our marquee and bring the entertainment indoors.

Join us from 10am all the way up to showtime - we're just a 10-minute walk to the Stadium of Light, entry is free, and all are welcome.

The one and only Mickey Callisto is back 🌞🎉

Mickey's last indoor show with us sold out within 48 hours back in Feb and we had a huge waiting list for those who missed out on tickets - so this time we're going BIG with an 800-capacity outdoor show as part of our Summer Parties series.

Mickey returns home on Saturday 29 August - doors are from 5pm and we have special guests supporting him - if you've got plans during the day don't worry, there's plenty time to join us for some fun in the sun.
