Barnton Bunker Ghost Hunt 6.6.26
We went deeper underground at Barnton Bunker and it didn't disappoint in one of Scotland's most amazing venues.
We started off the night as one big group 200ft below the surface at the heart of the bunker. Guests being touched, shadows seen moving on the upper level and a shadow figure seen standing in the doorway. Footsteps from all around us all and the sense of dread kept us all on our toes.
Shannon & Claire's team - We started the night on the ouija board in the room at the very top of the bunker, although this was quiet guests were hearing bangs from the next room and the K2 light up when asked if the spirit was in the military. On the board we had responses from a female RAF personnel and they responded when asked if men were unwanted in the room.
As we moved onto the next room we asked spirit where they were and the spirit chat said i’m here and at the same time taps could be heard from the same spot.
We moved on and while doing sensory deprivation guests kept hearing loud bangs and two taps on demand.
We tried a session with table tipping, although we had no response from this, guests seen a shadow figure moving in the back of the room and the spirit bell was responding to questions.
After break we started out with a call out where we first started as a group, as soon as we started talking about the RAF we had hits on the K2 and on the spirit speaker we had what sounded like a German. So we started to ask more military based questions again giving good responses including the name Fred and who was sad as they were a long way from home.
We went all the way downstairs to the bbc broadcast room where there was a lot of noises and talking could be heard along with very loud footsteps.
Adam and Steve's team - We started in the call out room after everyone had left to see if anything would happen with a smaller group in, we could here movement from where we had seen the shadow figure in the call out so we decided to move there and as soon as we moved a loud cough was heard from the empty room behind us. On the ouija board the name BOB was being spelt. Alongside this apparently he was an evil man who had murdered children, the spirit chat kept coming up with similar words to what was being said on the board, a chair being dragged and also what sounded like the cupboard being moved.
We moved on to the broadcast room and the pendulum, not much happening but then a figure was seen in the doorway on the SLS. We followed and it took us to the engine room. In here we heard a scream, we radioed the team but they didn't hear it. Footsteps walking away from us and voices from the next corridor.
As we made our way back to base, three guests were in front, they suddenly ducked down as they seen an object moving towards them, nobody was in front of them, and the door was closed. They heard it fall and they shouted of us, we went to see and it was a broken door handle.
After break we tried the ouija board again but nothing much happened so weived onto the events room.
Whilst sitting in the event room listening to the spirit speaker. We got a lot of names, insults and warnings not to be in the room. All of a sudden a massive bang was heard that vibrated the whole floor leaving guests on edge and leaving guests questioning why they even went in, we looked for what could have made the noise but with all team and guests accounted for we struggled to explain it.
Carrie and Katie's Team - We started our night with a spirit speaker session on the top floor of the bunker. Where we got some very intelligent answers through as well as the cat ball activating in a chair when we asked the spirit to sit with us. We moved into the locker rooms where the K2s seemed to be bouncing off each other and a guest braved a lone vigil next door and held a mirror scrying session by himself. That abruptly came to an end when a small piece of rolled up paper saying 'Sam' ..... 'Baby Duck' on it. Very odd! We then headed down into the bunker and done a 'yes' 'no' session again very intelligent answers. We headed onto the ouija board when we spoke to a male called William McDonnell 1956 aged 51. Who spoke about his lover Wendy McConnell who died 1978. After the break we tried to head down to the bottom floor of the bunker which found us getting lost 😂 We eventually got there and used the necromancy app when it appeared to count down from 15 to 1. We then moved onto the pendulum board session but no activity so we tried the lazer grid pen in the corridor and played the official BBC announcement that would have aired on the radio if a nuclear attack had ever happened. Guests reported movement on the lights. As we walked through what would have been the main control centre hall a screw was thrown from the balcony which was odd as at the time there was no explanation for it. No activity on the dowsing rods. so we ended up on the automatic writing planchette where a spirit called 'Neil' wrote him name. The last thing we did was the Transfiguration session where Carly braved the mask. We reported multiple spirits on the mask. Carly had her photo taken and it appears that there was a female spirit standing behind her and we could even see her face on the mask. Crazy! Fab night, flew over, amazing guests and a good laugh.
Overall an amazing night with guests who were willing to get stuck in that really helped the night.
