If you look after a listed church, chapel or meeting house in England, join us and the team from Historic England for this opportunity to find out more about the Places of Worship Renewal Fund.

The Places of Worship Renewal Fund is a £92 million four-year fund to help listed churches in England with repairs, delivered by Historic England. Grants ranging from £10,000 to £1,000,000 will be awarded for capital works that keep buildings safe, open and in public use.

This friendly, informal introduction to the fund is open to anyone, from any church, chapel or meeting house across England, and will include a short presentation as well as plenty of time for discussion and questions.

What a wonderful sight! The birthplace of Sunderland watching over the City, from the historical quarter - the East End.

We have a little update to share. 17Nineteen is currently undertaking some maintenance, so although we are a hub of activity - unfortunately the public are not invited. Just a skilled and talented workforce, ensuring that our building is safe and sound.

So as you may have guessed, we are currently closed. But we will keep you informed and hope to open again very soon!

Sumerween is an accessible and fun arts social event devised by .zoop_ as part of their Accessibility in the Arts MA thesis.

It runs from 12 till 4pm on the 11th of August, and includes beginner crochet, fabric bunting and patch making, and pointy hats from paper.

Tickets are just £5 on the door.

How has a week passed already 😯? Well…get ready because Brenda’s Jewellery Club is back today (Friday 7th August) between 1-3pm!

She’s been busy gathering lots of bling and beautiful glass and semi precious beads ready to be strung, gathered and twisted into your gorgeous creations.

Don’t worry if you have no experience, our Brenda is a pro. She will help and guide you along the way. Equally for those with more experience she can provide the tools for you to bring your designs to life.

It’s £2 to join the class and then pay for what you use.

August is set to be a corker at 17Nineteen! In order to help to staff and facilitate all of these wonderful events, the 17Nineteen Society needs to your help!!

We are looking for people to join our busy team. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills or share old ones, all while surrounding yourself with history. The 17Nineteen Society is a volunteer led group dedicated to supporting a busy diary of popular concerts, events and activities.
