Centre Stage North East is Sunderland's longest-running and most successful Stage School. CSNE was established by Fiona and Mark Clegg in 1994 as a way for children and young people to be involved and acquire a love and appreciation of the performing arts. ed by CSNE include The Wizard of Oz, Guys & Dolls, Hello Dolly!, Kiss Me Kate, Alice in Wonderland, Anything Goes, The Music Man, Bugsy Malone, Cry in the Dark and Disney’s Aladdin. As well as producing their own shows, CSNE has been involved as part of many others including professional productions in venues such as the Sunderland Empire, The Customs House, The Gala Theatre Durham, The Theatre Royal, The Tyne Theatre and the Metro Radio Arena. As well as producing musicals, CSNE also offers private singing tuition and speech & drama and musical theatre classes – working towards LAMDA qualifications. Thanks ro our members and their families and friends for supporting our impromptu Easter Raffle. We managed to raise £375 which will be donated to St. Benedict's Hospice. Thanks again and Happy Easter!

In September of last year we presented our 30th Anniversary concert Hey There Broadway at Sunderland Empire. As part of the show, we showed messages from stars of stage and screen as they congratulated us on our milestone and wished us "break a leg".
This one is from the cast of the UK Tour of Matilda The Musical which opens at Sunderland Empire tomorrow night, so we just want to return the compliment and wish you great success for your run here in Sunderland. We can't wait to come and see you in action!

A little sneek peek behind the curtain of our production of Disney's Frozen in 2024.
We made our very own Olaf and Sven puppets. This a test of the walking mechanism for Sven about 6 weeks before the show. The wheelchair was not part of the final costume.
