It’s been one of those weeks where a small amount of noise from the sidelines has demanded more attention than it deserved. On top of that, we’ve also had some maintenance work done, attended external meetings, had some exciting event planning conversations, and had some training. So, if you’re waiting to hear from us, or waiting for something from us, thank you very much for your patience; we’re on catch-up!
Today has been an absolute joy, though! Here’s a photo from first thing this morning as Suffolk Market Events Farmers Market was setting up and we were arriving for the day.
Our railings are looking beautiful thanks to the fabulous flowers provided by The Garden Nursery and , brightening everyone’s day. 🌸
We pootled around the busy market, enjoyed a delicious lunch from Meena, picked up some treats from the Norwegian 🇳🇴 Bakers, and even found a Yak chew for a very good dog! 🐶
Peter the Peregrine made an appearance on the tower again, no doubt eyeing up the dirty pigeons* (Bonus points available for naming the Britpop reference).
To top it all off, we were treated to fantastic free Friday live music in the arts centre from talented harpist Anne Chorley, accompanied by Roger Green, performing to a really appreciative busy house. Our sewing group loved stitching along to the music, and they’re now beginning to sell some of their handmade creations. All of this to help raise funds for the arts centre, for which we are very grateful 🧵🎶🙌🏼
We’re back again tomorrow from 10am, and at midday we’ll be joined by one of our favourite musicians Daniel Stephen Turner who leads our ever growing Songwriters’ Circle. We may even wheel out the piano for a few tunes! 🎹
So why not pop in and say hello? Treat yourself to one of Jonny’s delicious iced coffees and a slice of Lemon Blondie. We also have oat milk, decaf, vegan and gluten-free options, and even a local beer or glass of wine - so there’s something for everyone.
See you tomorrow! 🙌🏼❤️
