How is it 3 weeks already since Sophie and Alan’s fabulous wedding day at the incredible And what a wedding ceremony it was!

💜There were nods to Alan’s Scottish heritage everywhere you looked, from the best men in their kilts to Alan’s tartan trews. Then, as wedding guests waited inside, the visitors to Holkham were treated to the unmistakable sound of a piper announcing Sophie’s arrival in a stunning vintage car.

💜And then came the moment as the doors opened and Sophie made her entrance with her brother and bridal party into the iconic Marble Hall my heart genuinely skipped a beat. It was one of those magical wedding moments that stays with you long after the confetti has settled.

💜Now, this wedding had been a few years in the making… so Sophie had a little surprise up her sleeve for Alan. As she opened her vow card to share her beautiful words, she first had to blow away the “dust”. Of course, that dust (baking powder) had been strategically placed there by yours truly earlier. Celebrant magic with a little bit of mischief thrown in!

💜We also included a hugely personal hand-tying ritual, with amongst others, two ribbons made from pieces of Sophie’s wedding dress and offcuts from Alan’s tartan trews. It was such a meaningful and authentic way to honour Alan’s Celtic heritage.

💜After the ceremony, Sophie and Alan took five precious minutes for themselves in the Saloon, taking in the views across the Holkham estate while their guests lined the staircase ready to shower them with confetti.

💜There is so much more I want to share about Sophie and Alan’s wedding, so watch this space! For now, Sophie and Alan, thank you for trusting me to create and conduct your wedding ceremony. It was an absolute honour to sprinkle some celebrant magic over your day. And thank you for helping me tick Holkham Hall off my celebrant bucket list!

What a joy it was to conduct my first ceremony for two gorgeous brides, surrounded by their wonderful families and friends.

💜The Three Hills really is a little gem of a wedding venue. The intimate ceremony space is just gorgeous, with a beautiful terrace that makes the perfect setting for an outdoor ceremony. And because we all know the British weather can sometimes have other ideas, there’s also a fabulous covered patio ready to save the day if needed. Thankfully, the weather gods were very much on our side for this celebration, so there was no need to make a dash for cover!

💜And then came the entrance…Our brides and their bridal party didn’t just walk down the aisle. Oh no… they danced their way down to ABBA’s ‘I Do I Do I Do’! To the whoops and cheers of their guests.

💜And that, quite frankly, was the perfect way to get the celebrations started.
The ceremony itself was full of love, laughter and personal touches, including a beautiful hand-tying ceremony using ribbons chosen especially for their personal meanings.

💜Once the certificate signing was done, it was time for the important business of celebrating! Just before they got ready to boogie back up the aisle to ‘Love Is In The Air’ they both came running back over to give me the biggest hug. And that was it… celebrant Ruth was officially in floods of tears!

💜It was also a real pleasure to work alongside the lovely There’s always something rather special about working with suppliers you know and trust, and Neal is just so easy to work with.

💜And a huge shout out to for the amazing buttonholes. Just look at them! Some of the most unusual flowers I’ve seen used in a long while. Such a brilliant little detail and completely in keeping with the personality of the day.

💜Another gorgeous couple. Another fabulous celebration. Another venue full of possibilities. And another reminder of why I simply adore being a wedding celebrant!

Some fun moments during Jon and Rebecca's wedding ceremony today 💜

What an absolute honour it was to be asked to conduct Sandra and Matt’s wedding ceremony a few weeks ago.

💜This one was particularly special because I’ve known Matt since he was knee-high to a grasshopper! In fact, Mr S-H and I have been friends with his dad and step mum for more than 42 years, so there were definitely some lovely family vibes throughout the day. Those family connections continued as I had the absolute joy of working alongside our hugely talented MUA daughter, the fabulous

💜I’ve known Sandra and Matt as a couple for some time, but I’d never really known the complete story of how they met. So getting to know them properly as a couple, hearing their story and creating their wedding ceremony was such a treat.
These two share a fabulous sense of humour, so naturally their ceremony was full of laughter, love and plenty of personality.

💜We had the most fabulous start with Sandra’s mum making her entrance down the aisle in her wheelchair, giving us some very regal Queenie waves along the way. Then came the bridesmaids, Sandra’s daughter and her inherited daughter (IYKYK!). As they reached the front, they turned to look back up the aisle to see Sandra making her entrance… and honestly, the looks on their faces were absolutely priceless.

💜Sandra and Matt shared their I dos, personal vows and exchanged rings before signing, sealing and delivering their wedding ceremony by surprising their mums as witnesses on their wedding certificate such a gorgeous way to include them in this special day.

💜And then, of course, Mr S-H and I stayed to boogie the night away…Well, as long as our knees allowed us to anyway!

💜Sandra and Matt, thank you for entrusting me with such an important part of your wedding day. It was an absolute joy creating your ceremony and an even greater joy celebrating with you both.

Sharuni & Joshua thought of every single detail for their fabulous wedding supported every step of the way by their amazing wedding crew.

From carefully chosen music for each entrance building anticipation perfectly, to the moment the stunning Sharuni made her entrance.

During our planning they told me their ceremony was the central point of their day with everything else pivoting around it. So I got to share their journey from first meeting as 16-year-olds to saying their I dos exactly 10 years later.

There were so many beautiful moments, including .art.studio but one that will stay with me was when Neil, a very close family friend, shared “May You Never Lose the Art of Looking Up”, a beautiful poem written by our hugely talented groom Joshua. Neil was representing his son Cam, who sadly lost his life a few years ago. It was a deeply poignant moment and a beautiful way to honour Cam and include his presence in a special day.

Sharuni & Joshua shared the most heartfelt personal vows before the moment of moments. As I celebrated them as husband and wife, the cheers from that Orangery could probably be heard across Essex! But Joshua had one more surprise. At that exact moment he stopped his watch, capturing the precise moment forever.

After signing their wedding certificate, bridesmaid Maddie and her sister Georgia treated us to the most incredible rendition of “You & I Always”.
Those harmonies! I was so lost in the moment that when they finished I had to hoick myself back into the room and remember I actually had a ceremony to close!

Honestly, I could write a book about this ceremony, so prepare yourselves for more incoming content.

Sharuni & Joshua, I’m so incredibly happy you found your way into my celebrant world. Thank you for trusting me to tell your story and letting me sprinkle a little celebrant magic over your day. I’ll be forever be grateful that I was the lucky celebrant standing right there with you.

Wow what a fabulous ceremony today for Sophie and Alan at the simply stunning Huge congratulations to you both and thank you for choosing me as your lucky celebrant, I feel privileged to have shared in all that splendour.

Oh, what fun we all had at Sami and Jack’s fabulous wedding

💜From the moment their guests arrived, you could feel that this was going to be one very special celebration. Every single guest looked incredible in their traditional wedding outfits, beautifully reflecting and respecting Sami’s heritage. And can we please take a moment for the groom’s shoes… because WOW!

💜Then came that gorgeous aisle walk, with Jack’s mum Denise, Sami’s brother Saif, their fabulous grooms maids and groomsmen accompanying them before everyone settled in for the much-anticipated wedding ceremony.

💜And what a ceremony it was. Emotional, personal, full of love and with snippets of Sami and Jack’s story woven throughout. There were heartfelt personal vows, plenty of emotion and then came one of my favourite moments…We surprised two of their closest friends with the honour of becoming their surprise ring bearers! The look on Ross and Darren’s faces when they found the ring boxes secured under their seats was absolutely priceless!

💜Sami and Jack, I honestly can’t tell you how honoured I felt to be the lucky celebrant you entrusted to share your gorgeous love story and create a wedding ceremony that was as unique as you are.

💜And the icing on the cake? Working alongside the most amazing team of wedding suppliers, some familiar faces and some I was lucky enough to work with for the very first time.

💜What a celebration. What a couple. What a team.💜
