💖💖💖 Big Sis HQ!!! 💖💖💖 we had an absolutely fantastic time at the weekend when 20 Big Sis DJs gathered together to enjoy a delicious BBQ and celebrate the grand opening of our fantastic studio designed and created by the very talented and - we are just blown away!!! The team on the first slide, along with a couple of others who didn’t make it down on Sunday, are working on a very special brand new project launching soon…. As soon as next month!!! Stay tuned… 👀 Meanwhile school is out for summer as our final summer workshops take place this month, and then we have some time off from classes until September when not one but TWO fully booked beginner courses will kick off! What an incredible year so far. Big love to all who have been a part of it. This 6 week course will give you an opportunity to learn hands-on in a small group the basic techniques of DJing with a digital DJ controller as used in the taster workshops.

The course is for women and non-binary folk age 30+ and is suitable for absolute beginners.

By the end of the course you will:

Understand the basic principles of DJing and the techniques needed to build and perform a 20 minute DJ set.

Play a DJ set at a public event using the DJ controller.

Be equipped with the knowledge to practise independently and continue building your skills as a DJ at home.

Be prepared with the foundational knowledge to move on to club-standard CDJ equipment and optional one to one lessons to advance your skills.

Sessions will be held weekly on Wednesdays from 7-9pm at The Swamp, Deya Brewery, Cheltenham

Session dates are: September 23rd, 30th & October 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th.

Performance: A showcase of short sets from course graduates will take place at our next Big Sis DJs event!

DEYA & Byrd Out, in conjunction with Big Sis DJs are extremely excited to bringing SHERELLE to DEYA!

SHERELLE is the champion of high speed dance music who has led a new generation of club kids to tempos of 160bpm and beyond. Named one of Mixmags Top 25 Producers Who Defined the Year, nominated for the MOBO Awards Best Electronic Act and winner of DJ Mags Best of British 2025: Breakthrough Producer, SHERELLE entered a new era of artistry with the release of her debut album WITH A VENGEANCE (WAV). She has since continued to build out the WAV universe with WAV RELOADED, a selection of choice cuts reworked with vocals from Kibo, Killa P and Logan. And she hosts The Sweatbox on BBC 6 Music!

Alongside SHERELLE, we have some of our favourite DJs, with Big Sis DJs head honcho Neon Pumps, as well as Amy Omen and Talla Paula, and Emu representing the Ugly Ducklin' crew! This one is going to go off from the off!

Want to level up your skill set and get a deeper grip on the foundations of the art of DJing?

Big Sis DJs and Byrd Out are joining forces once more to present an intermediate training led by Polo Lilli and Neon Pumps.

Join us for a vinyl and digital mixing skills workshop for intermediate digital DJs and those interested in learning the foundations of vinyl beat matching.

Small group learning with hands-on 1:1 coaching, exploring:

* Advanced skills for digital transitions
* Use of Pioneer FX unit to elevate blends
* A crash course on mixing with vinyl

�We will also ask participants to share in advance any specific learning requests and consider these in planning the session.

The class will be 2h30 in length and takes place at The Swamp, Deya Brewery on 14th July, from 7:00pm - 9:30pm.

VERY limited places and small group learning to ensure hands-on time and 121 coaching for everyone.
