Time to experiment with some rose hips. Seeds removed, now cold stratifying in the fridge for a few weeks before planting. Hopefully we’ll create some beautiful new roses.

Two years ago we started a small compost pile to help reduce black bin waste and provide “food” for our soil which is very clay heavy. Now it’s time to see how it turned out!

The dark mornings and late afternoons feel like they’re dragging a bit this week. I’ve been working on bed layouts for the flower farm and drawing up lists of flowers to grow this year. 2025 was all about trialling different plants and growing for our wedding, this year is going to be a year of firsts, growth, and new beds. Looking back on some of last years photos has made me look forward to those long sunny days full of constant beautiful surprises.
