"Our next meeting will be held at 10am on Wednesday 12th March in the village hall at 10 am. Eliza Botham will tell us about "Canal town curiosities and life aboard the working boats". An interesting subject and very relatable to Stourport-on-Severn.

Our April meeting is our (short) Annual General Meeting on Monday April 14th. Coffee/tea available from 7pm, AGM at 7.30pm followed by "From Castles to Bishops' Palaces and back again", an illustrated talk by Tim Cornah.

Visitors are always welcome."

For technical reasons we’ve had to change January’s film;
Mr Turner will be shown later in the year but it’s place has been taken on Saturday 25th by ‘Patrick the Pug', a most enjoyable film, mild British humour and possibly the funniest film you’ve never heard of! Usual format: doors open 7pm, film at 7.30, bar, ice creams and a friendly atmosphere all for just £5.00! Pay on the door.

The next Areley Kings Village History Group meeting is on Wednesday 8th May at 10 am and we are very pleased that Phil Downing will be telling about Harvington Hall and its history. As usual, hot drinks afterwards and a chance to chat.

Membership fees can be paid at the meeting if you weren't able to attend in April (£12 Individual, £20 Joint/Family). Visitors are always welcome (£3 each).

As usual, instead of a meeting in the Village Hall in June we have our annual coach trip. This year's visit is to Stourbridge Glass Museum on Wednesday June 12th. The coach is full - more info at the meeting

The Group's July meeting in the Village Hall will be on Wednesday 10th July at 10 am. Martin Gavin, our Chair, will be telling us (and showing slides}, of what we would have seen many years ago if we walked from The Beams through Areley Common to the District boundary.

We look forward to seeing many of you on Wednesday this week at 10 am.
