Nature's Edge Cabin Sustainable styled shoot part 2 - the ceremony

On the 8th April, an incredible shoot happened, made possible by an incredible team of suppliers at a fantastic little place in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside.

This styled shoot was as eco as you can get, NO GREENWASHING in sight.
The team highlighted that this can be achieved easily with a little bit of thought.

Ceremony venue: , an eco space nestled in nature where very little detail is planned to perfection with sustainability in mind.

Photography:
, an accredited member of the , whose photos are simply stunning.

Flowers: The gorgeous flowers provided and grown by Kate herself, just a few miles from the venue. All seasonal and British!

Decoration:
, the super talented Cathy decorated the space beautifully with vintage, recycled and second hand pieces that fitted in with the natural surrounding beautifully.

Wine:

Sustainably produced, local and the most delicious English sparkling wine.

Dress:

A beautiful pre loved dress proving that brides don't need to buy new dresses in order to look stunning.

Hair and makeup:

Rebecca is also a local supplier who only uses vegan and cruelty free products. Just look at what an amazing job she has done with the hair and makeup!

Jewellery:

Beautiful jewellery made by Beth, inspired by nature and made from recycled materials.

Confetti:

Biodegradable confetti that matched the colour scheme perfectly. The confetti was made by flowers grown not far from the venue.

Stationery:

Florrie is also a member of the who produces these amazing place cards and invites. Beautiful!

Celebrant:

A local celebrant, Helen is fun and colourful, who makes every wedding personal and all about the bride and groom.

I just love the dedication of this beautiful lady ! She worked so hard during yesterday’s SUSTAINABLE styled shoot, this photo is the perfect proof of that 😀! I honestly can’t wait to see the professional photos. Once again, thanks to all the fabulous suppliers and my gorgeous couple, Becky and Ted, for making this shoot an awesome one.

My friend and I had a lovely stay at the this weekend. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the food is fab. I was happy to learn that the hotel doesn’t provide free spa slippers to guests but rather they ask everyone to bring their own. A massive ✅ for reducing unnecessary waste. HOWEVER ….. plastic cups were everywhere. I was mortified to see people helping themselves to water from the refill stations using these plastic cups and chucking them. The bins were overflown with these single use plastic cups. We were only there for a day. I dread to think how much plastic waste this hotel generates every single day. you ask your guests to bring their own slippers and refuse to provide them. Can you not ask your guests to bring their own reusable bottle and refuse to provide single use plastic cups? Or provide reusable cups instead? It’s not difficult, you must do better. AND…. On entering our rooms, we were greeted by two plastic bottles of water. REALLY?? You must do better than that.

Green Earthlings Weddings has been on a sustainability journey from the beginning, committed to being as eco-friendly as possible. Building a trusted brand with strong ethos and values has been a core focus for us, aligning with the priorities of our clients and business partners.

Here's a glimpse of our achievements so far:

I am back and smiling my way into 2025!

Happy New year to all my connections! I hope that you had a restful holiday period and that 2025 is a great year for you and for your business.

⭐ LAUNCHING IN LATE JANUARY! ⭐

Networking for sustainable and ethical businesses is coming to Worcestershire!!!!

I discovered many local and fantastic networking and "netwalking" groups since becoming self employed.
However, I always found myself and my business the odd one out, not that is a bad thing, I like to be different.
But I don't think many people at these events really understood what I am trying to do, to balance business, profit and the planet 🌍 and that is non negotiable for me.

Thank you to the wonderful , the idea was born and here we are, I am launching the group in January.

WHO IS IT FOR?
⭐ business owners of sustainable and ethical businesses (new ones and established ones)
⭐ businesses who would like to embed more sustainable practices into their day to day operations
⭐ people who appreciate nature

WHAT IS IT?
⭐ a 90 minute walk and network in nature
⭐ an opportunity to connect as sustainable and local businesses, share ideas and to discuss some of the challenges we face
