From a wedding page on Facebook. What an absolute shame 🫣
'I got married on Friday and can honestly say I feel so let down!!
We got married in a registry office and my husband arrived in good time. However, I left an hour early (ceremony started at 12:15) but got caught up in traffic so I didn’t arrive until 12:12 - bearing in mind it should have been a 20 minute journey, so we were definitely allowing enough extra time! But it was horrendous!
Well I had barely got out the car and one of the staff came out and shouted “do that inside you’re late enough as it is” I was just trying to make sure my dress was sitting properly. I’ve then gone on to do the meeting, this whole time this particular member of staff was huffing and puffing constantly. She’s told everyone to go sit down but forgot I still didn’t have my veil on because she rushed us and the bouquet was in the car! So she’s getting all arsey because had to get those bits ready. Then my daughter (20 months old) was kicking off not wanting to go down the aisle, so I asked for her to come back to me, which she did, but again this woman, signing, huffing and puffing. We do the ceremony (felt super rushed) the lady conducting the ceremony called me the wrong name! So had to correct her😂 then as we finished up, the photographer was taking pictures and the grumpy woman from before opened the door and was huffing and puffing again because we were having photos taken and still in the room and then somehow ended up whacking the photographers back with the door! Then we were waiting to do the confetti shot, she’s holding the door as she would hold it for us to go through. She takes a peak out and says are they ready (everyone except my 85 year old nan was there waiting so they said no) she then peered at where my nan was and was huffing and puffing again and sighing in front of us!! It then got to the point where I then just said that we can wait outside if you don’t want to stand there holding the door and she just went yes do that. Bearing in mind the next ceremony started at 1:30pm.
Honestly I can’t believe how badly she treated us all! I get being annoyed that I was running late but everyone else seemed to be able to brush it off but in my entire wedding video all you can hear is her huffing and puffing and sighing at people taking so long. Keeping in mind though, ceremony start time was 12:15, they told us they allocate half an hour for ceremonies which would have taken us to 12:45… even despite me being a few minutes late, we left the registry office building at 12:37, so hardly kept them!
But I just feel like I’ve paid for a super rushed ceremony and the video has been ruined by her grumpiness. I know in the grand scheme of things that doesn’t matter but I did warn them there would be a terminally ill wheelchair user and an elderly woman using a walker on the premises, so it’s not like they weren’t aware!
Just needed to rant I think! My family keep saying that’s what you get for having a registry office wedding and not getting married in a church but the rest of the staff were fine, it was just this one woman!'
