My mom was quiet but strong.

Lacking in confidence but could chat to anyone once she felt comfortable.

She was an introvert who was very well liked in her community.

She was hardworking and had a good sense of humour.

She was the one who brought us up. There in the morning with breakfast and after school she was always at home.

Making seven different meals at times to cater for our differing likes and dislikes.

As I grew up I appreciated her more and we spent a lot of time together on holidays and other social activities every week.

I hope she knew that she was valued and loved.

This was a very emotional Blessing Ceremony in our local woodland on the day that this beautiful couple should have had their church wedding.

We marked the day with an intimate ceremony where they shared all the things they loved about each other. Just the two of them and the opportunity to say out loud the things they had held inside their hearts until now.

Emotions were high and tears of happiness were shed. A perfect example of the power of a bespoke ceremony and speaking your truth.
