Nicki here again with Part 2 in Lake Garda...
The second hotel we visited was the family-run 3.5-star Hotel Catullo in the neighbouring resort of Bardolino, which can be reached by a leisurely lakeside walk from Garda.
This hotel is offered on a Bed & Breakfast basis, giving guests the flexibility to dine either in the hotel’s own à la carte terrace restaurant or in one of the many fantastic restaurants throughout this stunning resort — you really are spoilt for choice!
The hotel has a traditional Italian feel, with bedroom options in the main building including balconies and lake views, as well as upgrades to Superior or Deluxe rooms. There is also a small swimming pool located at the side of the hotel.
In summary, I would return to Lake Garda in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy stunning scenery, fabulous reasonably priced restaurants, and authentic Italian charm.
With twice-weekly summer flights from Birmingham and a flight time of just over two hours, it’s a fantastic option for a 3 or 4-night escape or a longer relaxing holiday — the choice is yours!
Imagine meandering through winding streets, relaxing at pavement cafés, people watching with a gelato or Aperol Spritz in hand, enjoying lakeside strolls at sunset, and visiting beautiful resorts such as Garda, Bardolino, Riva, Malcesine, Sirmione, and Desenzano.
You certainly won’t be disappointed.
Call into store to see me and let’s help you plan your perfect Italian escape!
