Do you need SAVE THE DATES?...not necessarily. Traditionally, weddings were held in the peak seasons of spring or summer and it was customary to send a save the date as early as possible, some as far as 18 months ahead! These days however, with weddings spread over the entire year, it's really a personal choice and is not an absolute necessity. There are also options to send a digital version, and it's worth noting that only guests invited to the whole day would receive a save the date, so as to avoid confusion and possible disappointment. The invitation itself holds the key information and you can skip straight to these if preferred.
