Staffordshire Tardis

Staffordshire Tardis TARDIS replica hire based in Stoke-on-Trent. Welcome to our page! We have a Tenth Doctor era TARDIS that is available for hire based in Stoke-on-Trent. Thanks.

Our TARDIS replica has been designed and hand built out of high quality materials to ensure a sturdy construction, while still being easy to put together in any venue. It also includes sound and light systems to give it the demanding presence that the actual prop commands on screen. Originally built for my wedding day, we now would like to offer others the chance to have an iconic prop at their sp

ecial day. So if you need a TARDIS for a party, wedding reception, convention or event, do please get in touch and we'll see what we can do. Payment to be sent via PayPal to [email protected] or cheque made payable to Richard Voisey. All profits donated to The Donna Louise Trust. http://www.donnalouisetrust.org/

Deposit required a month before event date. Outstanding amount to be paid on the day. Please indicate if you wish for me to be present and in costume
with the TARDIS for the day. If so, I will require a room to change into costume and refreshments. Setup requirements:

- 10ft ceiling clearance.
- 10ft square floor clearance.
- 1 x UK mains plug socket for lights and sound effects.
- Level floor.
- Access for unloading TARDIS from trailer.
- Indoor location ideal - TARDIS has not been tested in rainy conditions. There will be signatures inside the TARDIS. These are the signatures of Doctor Who actors. Please do not remove or add your own signatures. All photos taken and owned by myself unless otherwise indicated. Important: as we are based in Stoke-on-Trent in the midlands, we are only able to travel a maximum of 90 minutes each way to your venue - please consider this before contacting us for a quote. The term "TARDIS" is trademarked by the BBC.

And so it is with a heavy heart that we declare that our trailer is beyond repair, and that unless we are able to find another similarly sized trailer for a good price, it looks like this is the end of our journey with our TARDIS. 😞

We have upturned the trailer and looked at the 2 split pieces of the main body of the frame, but there is nothing we can do to repair the splits, so we have had to completely dismantle the trailer and break it down to be scrapped altogether. We've saved any bits that we think might be useful such as the electronics, lights and fixings.

It's gutting that we weren't able to go out in the way we wanted - our original plan was that this year would be our last year of providing our service for weddings and parties, but we would choose selected local conventions and events to continue to attend. Obviously dad is now retired and has other hobbies and commitments, and I still work full-time, so it's always difficult for me to get time off work, so we planned to call it a day after our last events of this year.

But now, as of today, we have no way to transport the TARDIS anywhere - the price of hiring a vehicle every time to get it anywhere would be high, and trailers are quite expensive. Rest assured that the TARDIS is still safely tucked away in my shed, we now need to decide what we are going to do with it next.

We are looking around for a new trailer, but if it's going to cost too much, it just won't be worth getting one for the reduced workload we will have going forward.

A big thanks to all those who have supported us, whether it be by having us at their wedding or asking us to attend a convention of event, it's been wonderful to help out and to meet people who have enjoyed spending time with our TARDIS, raising money for our chosen charity, and we've been very lucky over the years to meet many guests who are associated with Doctor Who who have all been lovely.

I will be editing our website to state that the service is no longer available, and it will become more of a tribute page to what we got up to and the good times we had.

I will be contacting all those who have made enquiries with us recently to let them know what's going on in case they don't read this post, and I will let the organisers of events we have already confirmed with that we now will not be attending.

I will keep you updated with any further news of what happens next and if we get to attend any events, but for now, we're signing off.

As the Tenth Doctor would say: "Alons-y!" 🫑

Just a quick message to say that we will be assessing the damage to our trailer on Tuesday to see if it's repairable - obviously if it is beyond fixing and is a danger to use, we will be out of action for some time.

I will be contacting those who have made enquiries with us about bookings shortly, but obviously everything depends on if we have a trailer that is safe to travel. 🫑

Unfortunately we're now not able to make it to the Really Retro Show tomorrow. 😞

We've gone to attach the trailer to the car this evening and part of the frame of it has cracked and dropped the main body of the trailer against one of the wheels, causing one of the wheels to rub and melt - basically meaning that we can't risk travelling any sort of distance with it.

We're really gutted as we were looking forward to having a great day. πŸ˜₯

Those visiting are sure to still have a brilliant time though. 🫑

Tomorrow we are attending Festival Of The Timelords at Newark Showground - it's a new event to us but already looks like being a great day packed with guests and other fans props and costumes. 😁

We might even bring the Sanctuary Base 6 Spacesuit out of retirement...πŸ€”
