⚠️ Warning to other business owners ⚠️

Yesterday and today I received a call from someone claiming to be from Daisy Communications regarding the renewal of one of our phone contracts.

During the conversation, only one of our numbers was discussed, and I was subsequently emailed contracts for broadband services (which had never been mentioned on the call) as well as a contract relating to the phone line.

The emails came from [email protected], not Daisy Communications.

Something didn't feel right, so before signing anything I ended the call and contacted Daisy Communications directly using their official contact details. Daisy confirmed that the caller and company were not connected with them!

The caller was persistent and keen to get contracts signed quickly. Had I not checked independently, I could easily have believed I was dealing with my existing provider.

In my view, claiming or implying that you are calling on behalf of a customer's existing provider when you are not is a serious matter. I will be reporting my experience to the relevant regulatory and complaints bodies for investigation.

Please take a moment to:
✔ Check the sender's email address carefully
✔ Read all contracts before signing
✔ Be cautious of pressure to sign immediately
✔ Contact your current provider directly using official contact details if you are unsure

A five-minute phone call to your existing provider could prevent you from entering into an agreement you never intended to make.
Please share this with other business owners so they can stay alert.
