Ages 13–17. No experience needed, just bring your ideas!

A chance to get creative, learn new skills, meet new people and work alongside artists and creatives, all while helping create something amazing for Longton.

This winter, Teen Squad are getting involved in A Winter Odyssey, an epic community arts event transforming Longton Park into a world inspired by Greek mythology!

There are loads of ways to get involved:
🎨 MAKE
Create costumes, lanterns, props and decorations for the event.

🎭 PERFORM
Create characters, join the parade and help bring the adventure to life.

🎬 BEHIND THE SCENES
Get involved with event support, documentation, lighting and sound.

👀 Expect giant illuminated puppets, mythical creatures, fire, light and a few familiar faces from Greek mythology...

SOMETHING IS COMING... 👀❄️

Some familiar faces from winters past... but something new is beginning to stir at Wild Edge Arts.

New puppets. New adventures.

❄️ A Winter Odyssey is coming. ❄️

More coming soon about this year's winter adventure, including workshops, activities and ways to get involved.

For now, here's a little look back at some of our past puppet creations, Echo the Eagle 🦅 and Asterion the Minotaur 🐂, inspired by sculptures on Longton Town Hall and created by our incredible team of artists working with renowned puppet maker Andrew Kim of Thingumajig Theatre.

📻💚 I'M GOING TO BE ON BBC RADIO STOKE! 💚📻

Well… this is something I never thought I'd be saying! 😂

Earlier today I had a pre-recorded chat with BBC Radio Stoke about the Longton Community Care Package appeal I've organised for our amazing firefighters at Longton Fire Station. 🚒❤️

We'll be on air tomorrow morning between 7:30am and 8:45am.

And if you know me, you'll know this is actually quite hilarious because I absolutely hate being recorded, I'm rubbish in front of a camera and would much rather hide behind my phone and type a Facebook post! 😂🙈

So the fact I've willingly agreed to talk on the radio is either a sign of how much this appeal means to me… or I've finally lost the plot! 🤣

I'll be chatting about how the idea came about, the incredible response we've had from Longton residents and businesses, and just how much the community has come together to support our local firefighters.

What started as a simple idea to say thank you has turned into something genuinely quite special. 🥹💚

And that's all down to YOU.

Everyone who's donated, shared the appeal, encouraged others to get involved or simply sent a lovely message — thank you.

I'm incredibly proud of what Longton has done. ❤️

So set your alarms, grab your morning cuppa and tune in! ☕📻
