Fridays are for this little face. I try really hard not to work on Fridays.
Being self-employed means there is always something I could be doing. An email to answer, a wedding to edit, something to post, some little job sitting in the back of my head. And when your business is yours, it’s very easy for work to spill into every available bit of life.

But I’m also a mum to a one year old.

And this bit is going ridiculously, unfairly fast.

So Fridays, as much as I can, are ours. Today that meant the zoo, little legs wandering in every direction, snacks, pointing at absolutely everything and me trying to bottle up as much of this version of him as I possibly can.

There will always be more work waiting for me.

He won’t always be this little.

Love you more than you’ll ever know, my little man.

Are we allowed to do personal posts on here, is that an accepted standard? Yesterday I had a very rare full day off, no work, no babies, and banned from all my notifications to celebrate my gorgeous loves birthday. This guy has held me up through so much, brings me coffees on long edit days and makes the late drive home from weddings feel safe. I often sit in ceremonies and speeches and every word resonates because of him. So let’s have a moment of appreciation for this wonderful man, for his love, for his passion, for his barista skills and for being part of the mashup journey without ever really realising it 💚
