With the weather having rather abruptly turned and the clocks going back in a few days, it feels like a fitting time to mention wreaths…

Wonderfully full and festive, my handmade wreaths will be brimming with scented evergreen foliages, hedgerow treasures, berries, seed heads and everlasting flowers and finished with a pretty velvet ribbon🎀

I spent a lovely sunny day last week giving the shed an autumnal makeover. The mechanics are a chicken wire sausage made in three parts and attached to the gable end which I filled it with berried ivy, rose hips, hawthorn berries, amaranthus, hops, bracken and teasels - I even found a few sprays of blackberries to complete the Brambly Hedge vibe! I look out onto this from the kitchen and it is giving me so much joy, especially now the weather has turned.

It was such an honour to create this natural sheaf for a gentleman who loved the countryside, using beautiful seasonal foliages and berries, rose hips, hops and seed heads. I was delighted to spot a ladybird on one of the teasels (captured in the last pic) - rather fitting as they symbolise good luck, protection and renewal♥️
