August in a pot - the best of my late summer garden including my favourite dahlias, phlox, zinnias, scabious and sweet pea pods. I’m so happy the dahlias are finally here and I’m popping them into all my jars and bouquets - do let me know if you would like some this week.

A beautiful morning to be cutting for some arrangements I am making tomorrow. I am growing amaranthus for the first time this year and I absolutely love it - swipe to see it glowing in the sunrise. I didn’t have the space to plant it out until quite late so it’s not that big yet but I’m looking forward to using it in my late summer arrangements💕

Home from the most wonderful holiday on Ile de Ré. Cycling to markets and beaches every day, exploring the prettiest villages, eating delicious seafood, cheese and pastries and swooning over the perfect shutters and hollyhocks - it is my favourite place in the world. Everything has grown here so much since we’ve been away and I have a rather wild garden to tend to including an out of control wisteria that needs tying back to its supports but I am so happy to see the garden bursting with beautiful flowers - lots of deadheading and weeding to do but for now I am going to embrace the glorious chaos!🌸

I loved creating these pretty posies to dot along a large table for an intimate wedding party last week. Off they went with four Flower Arranger’s buckets filled with the best of my garden to be used for DIY arrangements for the church. Many congratulations Alice and Ian, I hope you had a wonderful day💕

New to me this year, ‘Night Silence’ was the dahlia I was most excited to see flower and she certainly does not disappoint. I adore her moody, vintage toned petals and dark foliage - so much drama! The dahlias are just starting to get going and I am so happy to see them.
