It’s Harvest time and our next neighbourhood social is upon us this half term.

Join us for a cosy evening filled with wand and wreath making, veg picking and raffles, warm food and drink to share and harvest celebrations as we come together to embrace the season with our friends and neighbours!

We’ve got buckets to fill with soil
We’ve got barrels to move for our community paint up and orchard plant up prep
We need to shift a few things around to make room for other things
We need to plonk the trees we saved from having no home City of Trees into bigger containers now that they’re thriving
The seed library needs an audit…

And so on…

Great day skill swapping with Z Zurich Foundation Zurich Insurance UK and co-hosting with Resilient Cities Network

We talked about community resilience, buildings and real life experiences of delivering ideas that support climate action. Then we shared our knowledge of creation before putting the team to work on our repurposed icbs donated by Capital & Centric from site

After lunch, we took in a lot of really useful information, research and data about Stockport and the future heat/flood and extreme weather scenarios that areas could face.

All part of the wider collaborative work with partners to build resilience into all aspects of civic and social life. Good day! Thank you all!
