Thank you so much for your lovely wishes and support, yes this is my other big passion in life. I've been singing for 30 years now and after a 8 year break from the quartet contest stage, this was a big deal for me to get back out there. Absolutely thrilled with what we achieved our first time out together. 🫶🥰

We'll be back to posting flowers later I promise, but for any women out there who need something in their life, a way of expressing, with other encouraging, supportive women who become friends, get in touch with me, don't be a kitchen diva, Im part of two amazing a ca****la choirs here in Stockport and this could be your time!

So you all know Jen’s passion is flowers but she also has another passion in her life. Some of you will and some of you won’t know that Jen is an amazing singer and competes on national and international level within barbershop world. 💈

Today Jen’s competing with her quartet at the Labbs asosoiation of barbershop in Harrogate. Here’s a pic of them all and be great if you can send all your good luck vibes to them today (not that they will need it 😜) and hoping they come back with some shiny medals 🏅

Someone will be cold at school if they are not united with this right now. 🥶

A child from Great Moor Jumior school is missing his/her school fleece.
We retrieved it from the wet weather on the pavement outside of our shop last Thursday, we're keeping it safe here at the shop if you want to come claim it.

Let’s Make Wreaths

These beautiful floral tributes were made to honour the memory of a much-loved husband, father and Pops, and a dear friend to so many in the choir and musical community. A genius musician, singer, director, arranger, and coach, his influence touched countless lives and voices.

Having known this gentleman for all of my singing life, and my mum and Dad for even longer, it was an absolute privilege to be trusted to create these personal pieces for his family.
Every detail was chosen to reflect the things he loved most, his music, his personality and his warmth. The tributes included a nod to his passion for the keyboard and piano, and one of his trademark checked shirts was skillfully woven into the DAD tribute, alongside a section of musical score from one of his own barbershop-style arrangements used on the keyboard tribute.

Each element felt like a conversation with him, a perfect way of saying thank you for all the love, music, laughter, and inspiration he shared.

I chose this song to accompany the reel because it was sung live at his funeral on Friday, sung by the choir his wife is deeply involved with and which he so lovingly supported, aswell as live singing from other local groups he directed, they sang a acapella arrangements dear to him, they were moments of breathtaking beauty and tenderness. It was the perfect farewell for such a talented, funny, and musically gifted man.

He will be sorely missed, but his harmony will live on in every note we sing and every heart he inspired. 💐🎶❤️

As a florist, one of the most meaningful parts of my job is helping families honour their loved ones on their final journey. Every design tells a story, a reflection of a life lived, and the memories cherished.

For one family, we created this shirt and tie tribute to represent their son, he was always smartly dressed and never seen without his black tie. It was our privilege to capture that part of who he was in flowers, creating something that truly captured his personality.

It’s always an honour to be trusted with such personal moments, turning flowers into a final expressions of love, memories and respect. 🕊️ ❤️

🚨 Not my usual kind of post, but I’m having a bit of a rant this morning…

Twice this week we’ve arrived at work to find that someone has again let their dog poo right outside the shop and just walked away. Absolutely disgusting behaviour, and so inconsiderate to everyone who uses the public pavement (and to us trying to keep the front of the shop clean and welcoming!).

We all love dogs, we're a dog family too,
but please, if you’re walking yours, pick it up. It’s not hard, it’s basic decency.

Just to be clear, our security cameras do cover the area outside the shop, and if it happens again, I’ll be passing the footage on to the relevant authorities.

Rant over. Hoping for a cleaner, kinder start to the day tomorrow! 🌸
