Six months ago I posted that I was closing The Wedding Fairy decor business down.
is my reintroduction. Hi, I’m Sadauf.
Over Twenty years ago when I founded The Wedding Fairy all I knew was that I was great at designing. I had this distinctive style, elevated taste and a real eye for detail. And right from the beginning I knew my work and ideas were made for luxury and bespoke events. That was always the vision.
A few years in and I realised that knowing how to design and create the work was not enough to grow the business I wanted. There were so many times I was completely overwhelmed and exhausted from trying so hard.
Leaving me really questioning whether I was good enough.
I actually thought it was my portfolio of work and what I was producing was the issue.
But that was never the real problem.
It was actually how I was running the business around it all. The type of clients I was attracting. The way I was pricing and showing up in the industry. None of it was reflecting the real talent and expertise of my work which I knew my business should be working to. Not that I knew that at the time.
It was only when I started understanding what was actually holding my business back and what needed to be done, thats when everything changed!
I built The Wedding Fairy into one of the most recognised luxury wedding decor and experience businesses in the industry. This didn’t happen overnight.
I made the decision to take time and do the deep work, and learnt how to lead and show up the right way that took my business into the luxury market.
Growing a business at this level requires a completely different lens and approach.
