To Wardley Hall in Worsley to deliver a very important bunch. Isn’t this the most amazing building? Official residence of the Catholic Bishop of Salford, timber-framed manor house dates from around 1500. Blue Door Dog Maxim accompanied me on rainy deliveries, snug and safe in his car seat.

Ten years… makes a girl think.
Blue Door certainly wouldn’t still be here without an awful lot of help, support and inspiration, and it seems a good time to name check a few folks, in no particular order.
Jen - you lit the spark
Ange - the original Blue Door Lady and my cherished sistah
Siobhan and Sam, who work their socks off, and make me smile, every day
My dear brother (and sometime delivery driver) Jon, who is my absolute rock
Each and every customer - without you, we are nothing
My Blue Door Brides, especially those early brides who put their trust in a new, untried business, and a couple of peri-menopausal numpties
My Heaton’s trading friends and neighbours - truly we are blessed to live and work in this amazing community
Tony at Deux Chevaux for keeping our vintage delivery van, Bluebell on the road
Paul and the team at GBR for supplying the bestest flowers and rescuing me on more than one occasion

You may recall from yesterday's post that squeaky bum time has returned to your favourite shop. Stock bills to pay, electricity, water rates and so on. Not a lot of sales coming in. Yes it is always quieter at this time of the year, plus the younger children are still off school. So from now until close of play on Saturday the 14th of June, there will be 20% off all full priced yarns in stock. Drop in grab a summer bargain!

Valentine’s ‘25, that’s a wrap…. Whether you’re spending the evening snuggled on the sofa, dining out, dancing with your gals (or thanking your lucky stars you’re no longer saddled with that no***ad) have a wonderful time. And don’t forget to trim the stems of your Blue Door flowers and change the water in the vase every other day.
