One thing we’ve noticed from doing children’s parties week in and week out is that you start to see the little things that can either make a party run smoothly… or create unnecessary stress.

Over the years, we’ve seen what works really well, the common problems parents run into, and the small practical things that make a huge difference to the overall atmosphere of a party.

So we wanted to start sharing some of those tips with you to help you get the very best out of your child’s party experience.

One thing we always recommend when planning a children’s party is choosing a venue with easy parking and easy access if possible.

It might sound like a small detail, but it actually makes a huge difference to the overall atmosphere of the party.

We’ve seen parents and children arrive late because parking was difficult or stressful, and it can really impact the start of the party — especially when games and activities are already beginning.

When families arrive flustered or rushed, children often take longer to settle into the atmosphere too.

But when families can arrive easily, park nearby, and walk straight in comfortably, everyone feels far more relaxed from the beginning.

Children settle quicker.
Parents feel calmer.
And the whole atmosphere starts positively.

Easy access inside the venue matters too.

Venues with lots of stairs, difficult entrances, or awkward layouts can make things much harder for families carrying food, decorations, pushchairs, party bags, or supervising younger children.
