📣Now Open - GOSSIP Collective presents 'Golden Repair' at Tolbooth Gallery

‘Golden Repair’ brings together 16 local and Scottish artists under the banner of the GOSSIP Collective in their annual group exhibition. Inspired by kintsugi - the Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics with gold - the exhibition explores themes of restoration, resilience, belonging, and community.

Across textiles, painting, film, sculpture, and printmaking, ‘Golden Repair’ invites you to reflect on how we rebuild after fracture - whether personal or collective. The works on display embrace imperfection, celebrate lived experience, and consider how healing can create something even more meaningful than what came before.

from the legendary and iconic Scottish singer/songwriter Horse.
From many years of performing, touring and recording, this is an
opportunity to hear stripped back versions from her vast back

shows. Also, as she is now writing towards her next album, ( her 13th )
there will also be an introduction to some of the new songs.

Tonight at Tolbooth, we're getting ready for a special evening of rich Scottish tradition and contemporary folk with Grace Stewart-Skinner and Evie Waddell.

Originally from the Highlands, Grace is an award-winning clàrsach player whose deep connection to Gaelic culture shines through in every performance. Blending tradition with experimentation, she brings a truly unique sound to the harp.

Joining her is Evie Waddell. Coming from their recent performance at Culture Night Stirling, Evie is a standout Gaelic and Scots singer and fiddler from Stirlingshire. A Royal Conservatoire graduate and award-winning performer, Evie’s work spans music, theatre, and visual storytelling—captivating audiences across Scotland and beyond.
