🇯🇵🎈 MY LAST DAY IN JAPAN…

And as I sit at the airport waiting to leave, this feels like the perfect piece to share from JBAN 2026.

Its theme is travel….and just look at it.

The plane, arrivals board, luggage, clock, flowers and two people finally reunited. All created from balloons.

It’s not simply balloon decorating. It’s storytelling, imagination, engineering and incredible artistic skill.

Japan reminds me just how much talent and possibility there is in our industry.

Balloon art really is art. 🎈

And while this piece is called Arrivals, for me it’s time for departures. 🇯🇵✈️🇬🇧

Thank you Japan. Now it’s time to take some of that inspiration home. ❤️

But this one takes things to another level… it moves.

The creativity, engineering, skill and sheer imagination behind work like this is incredible.

This is what happens when we stop thinking of balloons simply as decorations and start recognising what talented people can actually create with them.

Balloon art really is art. 🎈

And seeing work like this reminds me just how much talent, possibility and innovation there is in our industry.

Take a look at this.

All of this was created in just TWO DAYS.

Watching these incredible artists at work reminds me of what we used to create in the UK many years ago . Pushing creativity, technique and balloon artistry to another level.

And it got me thinking… Let’s not lose our talent.

Let’s encourage creativity, invest in education and work with true artists old and new who spend time mastering their craft.

What we do is about so much more than simply blowing up balloons.

It’s skill. It’s art. It’s a profession.

Our industry has incredible talent.

Now we need to show the world we’ve still got what it takes. 🎈❤️🇯🇵

Hi, George here from GO International and The Balloon Academy. I’m here at JBAN 2026, for the International Balloon Convention, surrounded by some genuinely incredible talent from across the world.

This is one of my favourite creations I’ve seen so far. A brilliant reminder that balloon art really is art. The creativity, skill and attention to detail here is off the scale.
